These are daily drivers. Throw in some incliment weather and see which one performs better. The MS6 is much more hoonable in the snow. AWD > FWD

Seriously? You think Joe Average sees anything other than a station wagon? Yeah right. Thus, 99.99% see a station wagon. Station wagon is always viewed as lamer than, well, anything. You could fully trick out a CTS-V wagon, but I'd bet most people would still just see it as "a station wagon". A wagon always blends.
