Watching the first one right now finally. It's so good. I need to stop working too much, I'm looking at the interior too much

Finally watched the first episode. AWESOME. I missed it. Loved the cars this episode. I would love to see if they really tear down his house
The only thing that was lame was Mike Skinner... trying to make those jokes while driving the car... **crickets**

If anyone else was confused by the celebrity thing:
BBC Legal Threat Forced The Grand Tour to Kill Off Celebrities | Grand Tour Nation

^ I figured it had something to do with the BBC.
If you think about it, quite a few things on The Grand Tour are sort of the opposite of what they do/did on Top Gear.
- celebrity guests get killed off vs being on show
- The Grand Tour racing driver's identity is known, he talks, and he isn't "tame" vs The Stig whose identity is unknown, he doesn't talk, and he is "tame"
- ending show with "And on that terrible disappointment...." vs "And on that bombshell...."
- GT (Grand Tour) is reverse of TG (Top Gear)
- no cute/sexy/hot women in front of audience on Grand Tour vs cute/sexy/hot women in front of audience on Top Gear

Not bad for ep2. Tough act to follow with the premiere. Hoping it improves as things go along.

I didn't mind the military training exercise
A little excessive but not super obtuse.

Military training looked like a spoof of Edge of Tomorrow. I felt like they could have cut that segment 5-10 minutes shorter and it would have been perfect. I still enjoyed it.
I miss the stig, and I also miss the old track. The new track is ok but it is very tight and technical with no place for a supercar to stretch its legs. I was driving the LaFerrari on it (Assetto Corsa/Sim racing rig/HTC Vive) and the max I was hitting was 130~mph on the second part of the isn't straight. I managed to turn a 1:14.7 after about 5 laps. I don't have the Vulcan to test unfortunately. The chicane at old ladies house is extremely tight, like chicane at the end of Spa circuit.

Episode 3 is the best yet. I won't give it away, but "Stop it, Hammond!" is the key, and the ending is, um, explosive.

Jeremy's bracelets
Source: This Might Be The Explanation For Jeremy Clarkson's Weird Jangly Bracelets
"...It turns out that yes, he was. The message is BUY MORE WATCHES, according to The Guardian:
"Much scrutiny, too, would be given to the trio’s expensive watches seen prominently on steering wheels. (“Episodes contain product placement,” warns the Amazon Prime website.)"
It appears as if the bracelets are meant to attract attention towards – or draw attention away from – the watches that Clarkson and crew are now being forced to wear, in what must be an ostensible exchange for trailers full of tires for smoking."

Episode 4 was much better!!
In episode 3,
Im surprised the M4 GTS wasn't much to Jeremy's liking. Maybe he can have an unbiased review of a BMW after all.. That GT3 RS was gorgeous though.... I never ever considered a P-Car but more and more recently started to slowly like them more and more.

I liked episode 3 more than episode 4-- the "rebodied" Land Rover bit went on a little long for my taste.
The interplay and chemistry between the hosts is great, regardless. And I like Mike Skinner, who has to deal with all those effete, tea-drinking commies.
The original Top Gear episodes are on Amazon Prime now, so I've started watching the episodes with specific cars of interest to me.
He's getting older and valuing comfort more; I tend to agree with that viewpoint for road vehicles. You won't find me on the freeway with a stripped car, no radio and loud exhaust.
The M4 GTS is also not fast enough to be a viable track toy in its class.

I laughed uncontrollably when May tried using the string to put the car back together and it just rolled under the car
