I guess some may ask, why not enjoy the Z for a few years, and just trade in for the GTR? Well, timing is everything... I think I can get the most value for the Z at this point, rather then waiting to sell it in 2-3 years. Besides, maybe I will love the NSX so much that I won't want anything else....
totally agree. with the (370)Z coming out and the gtr bringing up the performance spectrum.. the 350Z just doesn't seem like it'll hold any value in the future

Hey Ginash, long time no talk!! I'm gonna go against the grain here and suggest this! I'm glad you are going back to the Honda world!!

......but if you've already narrowed it down to 2, i would choose the blue! I think it's more sought out after and would probably give you a better resale when the time comes! I was never a fan of the yellow post pop-ups!

Blue because I don't like yellow cars at all.

I think there is a reason most cars don't come in yellow... why do sports cars and Pontiac Azteks ( ) get away with it?

Dude I would rock this all day long -

Hell, I'd rock a replicar of that in that color (as long as it was the guy who did the Miami Vice cars).

Well, as much as I like Blue.. if the RIGHT yellow came along, I would definitely not hesitate in picking one up.. as far as the 996 GT3 comment, I'm a fan... but would rather have the exclusivity of an NSX.

lol.. might have a potential buyer for the Z this weekend.. also, there is a really nice black '05 with under 10k miles.. but not sure if I want the black exterior/tan interior. It's also about 10k above my budget, but a great deal nonetheless... I'll start to get really serious once the Z is sold.

How can you have a car like this that's not RED?

If you have to pick between the Yellow and Blue, definitely go with Blue. Yellow screams "over the top", so you'd need to put a blower on to pull it off

If youre going to sell the car anyway for the GT-R, just get whatever will be easier to sell.

I have a prospective buyer coming to see the car tomorrow, I'm hoping the sale goes through because he's pretty serious, in his 50's, and a racing school insturctor. We'll see what happens... Anyways, everytime someone is remotely interested, I then start looking again! LOL

Black is nice, but VERY common. Exterior-wise, Red and Black are a dime a dozen. On the list you provided (for 02+), white is probably the RAREST and most coveted. It's the entire type-r fanboi phenomenon. (jk). Not a fan of silver after seeing it in person, I think I want an exotic color for an "exotic car."

I like the Imola Orange I have only seen 1 or 2 in that color in the Chicago land area. The ones I mostly see are either black or silver.

Blue > Orange > Yellow

I'm also not a fan of yellow for the most part, only certain cars look good in yellow, and specific yellows at that.

Are you planning to pick this up from Acura Libertyville? I know they frequently try to stock NSX's and S2000. I guess the owner is somewhat of a nut for those two cars.

Personally I like the Blue, I think it's the hottest color for the car. Black is nice and clean as well.

I don't see too many NSX's around Chicago so I wouldn't know what's more or less common.

synth,

I was *this* close to picking up a yellow/yellow '03NSX in Michigan back when C$1=US$1.10 ... he was asking $53k and it was well-maintained, 1 owner. Sadly, the wife (with 1.5 votes) vetoed my chance to buy my dream car since I was 16 years old.

I think 7-10k between yellow and blue is not worth the difference. As much as I love blue (both my cars I've bought have been blue), I can't overlook the wide gap in price. Think of the mods you can do ... or how about what you could do instead (ie opportunity cost). There will be those who say you only live once and never to compromise ... but economics over passion.

Take it from an (cheap) oldie like me.

PS If I could make a 'wish list' of colors: red > blue > orange > yellow

Hey Synth,
I'm also in the market for a NSX 02+ and just waiting for the right color and car at this time. specifically one that's 1-owner and not modded basically.
If blue is the color you desire I say go for it, like you said most NSX colors are dime a dozen but that blue is hard to come by, although it's not my top pick.
Good luck on your search and purchase...you can find me lurking on nsxprime as well...

(prefer)black/black - there's one at Sussman Acura that a prime member checked out clean for me already..

(2nd option)black/tan - I believe there's one in LA but haven't had a prime member check it out yet...

hopefully financing and insurance works out for me :crossingfingers: as this is the major hurdle for me especially with being in the market for a house...the house takes precedence right now..
