Here's something we didn't know. Suzuki is one of the largest manufacturers of wheelchairs in the world. Well, there you go.
More importantly, Suzuki is developing a fuel cell-powered wheelchair. Now we're talking.
The M10 fuel cell wheelchair has a 4-litre tank to hold methanol fuel that will power the chair over a range of 25 miles. Just think, wheelchair users could zip all the way across London in a single journey.
Thanks to a back-up battery, which also acts as a store for the fuel cell's electricity, Suzuki says the risk of being stranded away from home with no power is greatly reduced.
Other touches to the M10's design include armrests that double as safety barriers, steering that enables the driver to make tight-turns and a large LCD display.
