A guy on one of my Charger forums built a custom set of engine half covers for himself which looked awesome so I PM'd him about making me a set. A few weeks later they arrived. I'm still debating what color/graphics to go with. I'm stuck between silver, hemi orange or wrinkle black?
And a quick video screen grab of Sapphire.

I wouldn't do hemi orange unless you plan on adding HO accents for balance.
But you go blue you start to lack contrast you need. Silver seems meh.
What about chrome? Or even blue chrome just so it's a little different than the other blue?

Good point. I thought that same thing, it might be too much contrast with the orange and the blue and silver I already have going on and more blue or silver might be kind of blah. The other idea I had was wrinkle black with 345 HEMI in orange, so it'll be a small amount of orange but mostly black. I'm not a fan of chrome under the hood and another shade of blue wouldn't be my thing either.

Do NOT take off the valve covers though Those are kind of important.
Car sounds awesome! Love the intake sound.
I think black would be too much, and blend in with the intake and manifold. What about some sort of wrinkle grey? Just an idea.
Also, what's with that red splatter? Run over someone?

Yeah it's just a textured black.
Thought about that, too. Definitely an option.
I feel ya, but I do actually show my car at the local cruise in night and I keep it clean under there.
They're technically called engine half covers, not valve covers. The valve covers are underneath them, they haven't changed, so these are just for hiding the coil packs and wiring on top of the valve covers.
Thanks Aman!. It should sound even better once I invest in some shorty headers and hi-flow mids.
Those blood splatter looking dots are the result of running my iPhone though a full wash cycle right after bringing my daughter home from the hospital lol. Amazing it still works but the photos come out funky now.
Meh too subtle and to me would look unfinished.

I may or may not have just bought a brand new HID conversion kit (reg and fogs) for my car for dirt cheap from one my club member friends...

Nice! That's something else that'll come down the road for me, too, at least just the headlights. There's a thread on how to piece them together for around $300.

Yeah I was just reading about that. Do your interior lights and headlights dim at night when you have your turn signal on?

Mine pulses. Apparently it's a mainly Charger only issue. I thought I was imagining it but another Charger owner mentioned his doing it in a thread and it was exactly what mine does. Very weird. Almost as if the alternator isn't keeping up with the electronics. In my build specs it lists a heavy duty alternator so I'm stumped. The other guy seems to think it has something to do with the battery being located in the trunk.

But I'd potentially be suspect to some dodge wiring harnesses...I've replaced two different ones in my car for two different issues.
