I saw a Charger Hellcat with 20k miles for 43k the other day. It was a looker.

That's a pretty damn good deal. I've been seeing them for the mid to high 40s in my area.

I'll say this.. having that much power is giddy
But having a domestic V8 with presence and a good exhaust note is soul fulfilling

I really like the Charger updates
If I were you, I'd have a tough time just looking at modern R/T Scat Packs and reggo SRTs

Whats up with RDX owners?
iTrader: (9)
Back in 2015 when I got the GTI, I was heavily considering a Scat Pack. The lease deals were damn near the same. Kinda wish I did, just to get it out of my system.

Best looking car besides the Viper Dodge has made in a long time.

I agree, I also think the new wheels give the car a more updated modern look, whereas the old wheels give it a more muscle car look.. I like both sets and would probably keep both for when I would want to change it up..

I do love that color combo. And the price is very low compared to other SPs. I'm not sold on the 6.4 though. I've read too many stories about them eating lifters and not being as robust as the 5.7s. That's one of the reasons I've kept mine and am not that swayed but SPs. I could throw a Magnuson SC on my 5.7 and eat up SPs all day long, but I just never find myself in races any more and I only go to the track like once a year, so the $10k investment isn't worth it. My 400ish HP is plenty fun on the street.

Yep I installed it last year. I really like it. Just have an extremely light vibration after the install but I think a new center carrier bearing should take care of that.

The Demon is just so epic. If I had the loot, it would be in the garage. But all is good. Getting ready for a road trip to Kansas next week. It's been so long since I've had a solo road trip, it'll be a lot of fun and a part of the country I'd probably never see otherwise.
Usually I can't wait more than a day to get a mod on, but I knew it was going to be a giant PITA install so I kept putting it off. It sat over a year in my garage taunting me every time I walked past it lol. I know it's not even close to CTS-V quick, but I was able to pull off a 4.90 0 to 60 a few weeks ago, so I'm pretty happy with that.

It's brake time so I decided to try this out. Powerstop Z23 Evolution Brake Kit. They get stellar reviews so hopefully they live up to the hype.

Nice! My brakes improved dramatically when I upgraded to StopTech drilled and slotted rotors and EBC pads. Brake upgrades are one my favorites!

Good to hear, T. The Centric drilled rotors I currently have on have never lived up to what I hoped they'd be. This should be a nice improvement. And it's time to flush the bake fluid too, so that alone will help with pedal feel.

Brake upgrades are definitely one of the biggest updates that you feel right away. Hope those live up to the hype for you never fun having brakes you don't trust in.

It was a giant PITA especially since I was doing it solo with no one to help steady a 60lb center diff. And getting the axles back in without damaging the axle flanges battled me for way longer than it should have, but I agree it's plenty quick although as you know the need for speed is never truly satisfied.

I remember the 1G CTS-V being advertised as "under 5" re: it's sub-5s 0-60. So you're on par there.

Yeah I think brakes are way too often overlooked. The brakes I have now aren't terrible by any means. They're upgraded with the police package larger rear rotors, so they worked better than stock when I put them on, but there's definitely room for improvement for brake feel.

6 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
It was officially May 22nd, but I have been ghosting AZine lately. I took Sapphire on a 1,200 + mile round trip road trip a few weeks ago from TN to KS and happened to stumble upon this old, deserted Dodge Service Center so naturally I had to snap a photo. Other than the A/C not performing to it's full potential (I just recharged it and it's fine now) and throwing a random low tire pressure light at me for no reason, she performed well. The 3.23 gears gave a pretty noticeable decrease in gas mileage for the trip, just barely getting over 20 MPG. She used to give me at least 22-23 MPG on a long trip like that, but when you want to live one 1/4 mile at a time these are the sacrifices you must make. For a 10 year old car and having over 100k on the clock, I think she still looks pretty freeg'n good and I still enjoy giving the old girl the gas pedal hammer down every once in a while.

That is a pretty, pretty, Charger. The colour, wheels, and shiny new rotors do a good job of keeping it looking modern. Congrats on 6 years! That's longer than I can remember you owning your other vehicles
