My 6 y/o son likes to talk back and do exactly what I ask him not to do one additional time before stopping just to f with me. My 4 y/o daughter just likes to talk about poop. But damn I love those little buggers!

Nothing much new here other than I put a new battery in last week. Went with a Walmart brand battery after reading it's made by the same company that makes Duralast Gold batteries which I've had good luck with. For $139 and a 5 year warranty I figured it'd be worth a shot. For those with a battery in the trunk you're probably aware of this, but being its my first car with one not in the engine compartment, I had no idea it has a vent tube and plug. I didn't even know these things existed until looking at the DIYs online. Pretty interesting stuff.

Yes sir...I also had to reconnect the vent tube on mine. Had never dealt with that.
Glad all is status quo, man.

Thought this was a pretty cool shot. Kind of a weird spot to take a photo being I was walking out of my daughters preschool, but when a photo opportunity presents itself you have to take it.

Yikes been 3+ months since I've been on AZine (that's an unfortunate record for me) but I remembered to come back (a few days late) to share what I did for Sapphire's 5 years of ownership anniversary. I was tinkering with the idea of moving on from Sapphire and getting into a Scat Pack or or 14ish Charger SRT or 12-13 300 SRT, but instead I decided I was being dumb since there's nothing technically wrong with Sapphire and decided to keep her for the long haul. I started thinking big picture, which went from having a custom grind cam installed to saying f it I'm going to get a Magnuson supercharger... it started getting way out of control. As much as I wanted to do something big, I also didn't think sinking $5,000 to $10,000 into her was a wise financial move. Sad but I just can't justify it. Instead I made the decision to stuff the fattest rubber under the rear of her I could so when I install my gears (it's been over a year since I bought them) I'll actually have a fighting chance of getting traction off the line. That's the whole point of gears after all. So I went with Demon replica wheels. 20x10.5 in the arse end, 20x9 in the front. I reused my 245/45-R20 Nitto Motivos for the front and got 305/35-R20 Nitto NT555 G2s for the rear. These things are monsters and the new look from the rear alone is worth their weight in gold. And they hook like a motha, so once the gears go in hopefully I'll see some much improved 60ft times at the track. For appearance reasons I took off the rear "hip stripes" since there was just too much black (racist) going on and I wanted to showcase the blue as much as possible with black (racist) wheels. I like the more necked look now. (Sorry for the poor photo quality, one is a screen grab from a video and the other is a shot I took last night in a Wally World parking lot.)

More photos as requested. I'm still getting used to the new look. Some days I love it, other days I wish I had kept my old wheels. It's a sickness. As you scroll to the bottom you'll see I finally got around to installing my SRT diff with the 3.23 gears. I'm still working out some kinks - a slight vibration in the drive line at 35-45 mph - so I haven't launched really hard on it yet but first and second gear are so short now I can't imagine it not helping my 60ft times especially with the new wider rubber. Now that the RPMs are raised at highway cruising speeds the Corsa Xtreme is a little too extreme for my ears so I may be looking into a different catback at some point. It's not something I need to do immediately since I've been doing mostly around town driving lately with very little highway driving.

Thanks. There's definitely a resemblance to a cop car now. I already had people slowing down and doing the exact speed limit when I'm behind them, now it's going to be even worse ha ha.

Really like the new wheels. Missed the first update post with them. Would it be possible to do a custom build in the gears with a better final drive gear for highway cruising that could tame the exhaust.

Now you need 1 more inch of drop though with those new wheels

What 60ft / times / trap speeds are you shooting for in the 1/4?

Thanks man. I just might go with some lower springs at some point. I'll need to have the front end looked at anyway since Chargers are notorious for eating up front suspension parts and I just cracked 90k miles.

Thanks bruh! My goal is sub-2.0 60ft since that's the best I could get before the tires/gears. I'd love a 1.8xx but I don't want to get my hopes up too much. I should trap around 104-105 and hoping for low 13s to high 12s.
