I think the car needs something, not really sure what.

I would start with the drop and see how that changes the appearance of the car. It may make a huge difference.

If not, then you can always get stripes of some kind.

I like it minus the trunk and RT logo. What about just the rear logo that Majofo posted?

Subtle because its pretty close to the stock graphic for the Superbee.

Good point. Actually saw this Super Bee yesterday. It doesn't show the blacked out trunk since I took it from the front angle, but the hockey stripes are obvious.

What the Super Bee rear looks like.

Yep the Daytona's have the blacked out trunk, too.

I'd definitely be getting them through Rider Graphix if I go this route.

The guy brian isn't much on customer service...so just read all the terms carefully...other than that...I had an easy transaction and as we all know I love my stripes.

Installed Centric Posi-Quiet brake pads and painted my calipers. It's sort of hard to tell in the photos but the decals are metallic silver. I didn't know the front calipers were two piston until I got the pads off.

Looks good!

I chatted up my performance guy a long time ago about a bbk and he said RT's honestly dont need it unless you're really putting down a TON of power. Just change to a better pad and slotted/drilled rotor and they are really good.

Zero. She was happy I liked it. She did ask me to take her on a test drive to Dairy Queen for a blizzard. When a pregnant woman asks you to get ice cream you do it, no questions asked.

Thanks man. It's a little louder than I was expecting but I'm sure I'll get used to it. The point and shoot camera mic doesn't do it justice really.

Well the Blastin Bob's 7db deletes were short lived. Way too much resonance inside the car and when the 4 cylinder mode kicked in it had a bit too much drone for me. So I ordered his 6db Magnaflow glasspack resonated kit to replace it. It's still pretty loud but the resonance is gone and there's very little drone now. I'm pretty happy with it. Here's a little video I put together of a start up, revs, drive-by and maybe even a power brake thrown in there lol.

I'm kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place because I like the extra MPGs it gives me but it does make drivability kind of awkward at times. At least it doesn't sound like crap when it comes on now.

Turn it off and keep a log of exactly how much your mpg changes...I'm going to bet it not by much.

From what I've read it's a 10% difference. Right now I'm averaging 19.2mpg, so that'd drop it down to 17.3mpg. Not sure it's worth it.

Yeah it's actually better than I thought it would be. That's why the MDS is kind of OK with me. The G8 has cylinder deactivation too, right!

Most I know kill the MDS as soon as they get the programmer.
I have the BB GP300 kit on my car. It was dirt cheap as I got it slightly used from someone. It makes a nice low rumble at idle & up to 2800rpm, but then the sound dies after that. Annoying actually as the sound is not consistent through the rpm band. But I get zero noise from it at 65 or 80.

This is true, although I'm pretty light footed now-a-days so it might go down the first week after a mod but then it'll likely even out. God I'm getting old lol.

Thanks man! I'd say it's 85 city/15 highway. I don't commute to work anymore now that I work from home, so my only daily driving is taking my son to daycare which is a 2 mile suburban round trip. Otherwise it's the occasional errand or going to meet my wife for her doctor's appointments which is the only time I get on the highway recently. I have taken it to our in-laws twice which is nearly all highway 275 mile round trip so that offsets the not so great city mileage for my overall MPG average.

I had to buy this one new but got the 7db for cheap but it was too boomy. Mine sounds similar to yours and the drop off in sound is likely due to the short first 3 gears but LONG last 2 gears of the tranny. 1st-3rd gear you know the exhaust is there but 4th-5th gear it becomes very quiet unless I'm going up a hill or something that requires more load, then I can hear the exhaust more. It's great for now but I think eventually I'll get a full catback.

Honestly the MDS doesn't bother me that much. At least not enough to turn it off just yet. Maybe once I get headers and mids.

That's great mileage for that type of driving. I'm probably 75 city/25 highway and getting 20-21 in my TL. Got 17 in the Ram I had as a rental for three weeks (it had MDS). I figured I'd take a slight hit when I get my new car, but it looks like I'll be about the same...won't argue with that .

They say 3rd times a charm. Found an insane deal on a Flowmaster Force II stainless catback on craigslist. The only issue was it's for the new generation Charger, but after tons of research I came to the conclusion the only difference is the exhaust tip sizes. The new Chargers have the built in exhaust tips so these are designed to fit within those. I think it's kind of stealth though since it looks stock instead of the 4" ones that come on the 2nd gen catbacks.

3000 RPM

There's no more recognizable sound than Flowmasters, that's for sure.

Maybe it's me, sounds hollow. And I hate you have remote start. Too much of a PITA with 2 fobs to get it on my car.

That's the classic Flowmaster sound. Some love it, some hate it.
