Hello all. I plan to get a bike soon but know very little about motorcycles. Any suggestions on what helmet to get? What should I look for when shopping for a helmet? What about those padded jackets? What other safety gear do you consider necessary, and which ones do you recommend?

I am a noob when it comes to motorcycles so any suggestions and tips are welcome. Not sure if this matters, but I will be getting a sport bike. Thanks fellas!
