Although I will say that I plan on purchasing a new F150 in another year or 18 months. Probably whenever the 2016 is released. That King Ranch has me drooling.

The Tacoma has been a great truck and contrary to what another poster said the 4spd auto is only for the 4cyl which is essentially a low payload parts delivery truck. The 6-cyl Tacoma is very different in powertrain, suspension, etc.

I find the interior to be adequately equipped. Bluetooth, XM radio, backup camera, available nav, etc. It certainly doesn't have all the tech that the 1/2 ton boys get but then again have you priced out a 1/2 ton crew cab truck from Ram/Ford/GM? Similarly equipped to my Tacoma they're $10k more. That's the reason why two years ago I bought the Tacoma. I couldn't afford a full-size truck at the time.

There have been only a few times that I found the truck to be too small for what I wanted to haul around and that was when I was hauling 100 duck decoys, several dozen goose decoys, three blinds, and other miscellaneous hunting gear.

It's been bulletproof. Zero problems in >50,000 miles. I have only changed the oil. Zero other maintenance except I replaced a burnt out turn signal bulb. Haven't even had to touch the brakes.

They're mod-friendly and there is literally an endless aftermarket out there for them. I was getting 19-20 mpg before I lifted it and added 33" tires.
