Subaru presents faster WRX in Frankfurt Show

I believe this is a glimpse of what will be coming our way here in the US.

IMPREZA-LOVERS have flocked to Subaru's stand at the Frankfurt Motor Show to catch a glimpse of the hottest version yet. The WRX STi delivers 261bhp on tap, will rocket to 60mph in just 5.2 seconds and has a top speed of 148mph. A body-kitted version badged STi Prodrive Style will also be available. Both will be launched early next year.

PS: My heart goes out to all that lost their loved ones in this tragedy today.

That depends on what you mean by King. If you mean who will be the faster straight line and on the track, I can bet you anything that if the Evo comes to the US as it is exported to the UK, will be clearly the quickest on the track and most probably on the straight line.

THe Evo is the most hard core rally car of the bunch. But if you are looking for more utility and "comfort" all others are better.

Of course, as far as the S4 is concerned, the above statement is made in taking ito consideration the current S4. The soon to arrive S4 might be quicker but may not.

The latest rumor is a normally aspirated engine, possible a 3.7 liter W8. Or maybe the 4 liter W8 they put in the Passat only uptuned to 325+HP.

That WRX sounds sweet... too bad they are pretty much ugly.

Also why would audi go away from the turbo setup for the s4? Too many problems with existing turbos maybe?

The Evo is rated at 276 HP in Japan and Europe but everyone knows it is more like 305HP+. The price I will guess around 45K.
