Dont listen to those who dont have a e39. Do your research and come to a conclusion yourself.

try www.bimmerforums.com Its no where near 1k a month but at 80k miles there will be things that will need replacing. Anywho, i wouldnt want a 525, they are underpowered.

All depends what YOU want though.

Absolutely.

What I want looks to be a 2004 5AT/no navi TSX, white on tan, 40K miles, certified. - $20,880.

The only thing stopping me now is a 2002 ES 300, burgundy on tan, 56K miles, no cert - $18,500.

Best Wagon Value (IMHO) = Subaru Legacy GT

But why no love for the Volvo? My wife has been driving a '04 XC 70 for the past year, and other than the crappy stereo, that thing rocks!

1700 more for a newer car with less miles and a cert warranty? Sounds like better deal to me.

I agree. The CPO warranty is great - electronics and such covered an extra year, and drivetrain to 100k miles. I picked up my CPO TSX with 16k on her and she's been great. Not to mention the size of an ES, dang the thing is huge.

$13K Could probably get them to 12 tomorrow night.

I drove it - never been behind the wheel of a 5 series before. I didn't feel comfortable opening her up around the tail end of rush hour and all, but it felt really heavy. At least, more effort to drive than my TL or the TSX.

Seemed like it was loaded to the gills, all sorts of gadgets. Park sensors front and back. Even had all the keys with their leather pouches and all. Only thing that was missing were HIDs.

Someone talk me out of this.
Dude I would be careful with the BMW. My dad had one and while yes they are very nice cars and handle very good once they hit about 100k they go to shit. At least ours did (this was a long time ago though but I heard they havent improved much) you also have to consider is that when something does go wrong with BMW that its VERY expensive to fix since its from germany.

My opinion is get the TSX and stay with the Acura family. As long as your happy with the price and the car itself, what's stopping you?
Good luck.
