Starter Bikes?
I know nothing about bikes. Never driven one, never ridden one. Have no clue on how to operate a bike either....but I do know that I would like to have something around for some weekend cruising...

You might want to learn with one that has pedals first. Less risk of dying.

The 2 bikes you posted are very popular, I cant find the Honda 250 to even look at because its always sold out where I live. I've had many motorcycles before and my 1st rule of fun is LIGHT, LIGHT, LIGHT. I think these 250cc bikes are awesome.
I'm not riding anymore due to the insane Seattle traffic but if I was to come back I would rock a small bike anytime or even a small scooter.
