So the Pathfinder needed a bath...and some other work...
My beloved Pathfinder. Paid $2300 for her almost five years ago and she has been faithful ever since.
Still could be but I dont want to dump money in to her for a rebuilt front axle, transmission, clutch, rear shocks...Still drives great, though the clutch plate is wearing and that is annoying.
I have been looking for a replacement. Old Jeep Grand Wagoneers, slightly newer pathfinders, qx4s, durangos, Jeep Grand Cherokee with the rare 5.9...
Well, in my searching I came across something I'd never even considered...
Yup...
Lease deal was TOOOOOO good to believe. Its cheaper over 3 years to lease this than to have bought another old truck with maintenance, gas, etc.
Its a 2010 Prius III (JBL audio, Bluetooth) $1300 drive off...$217 month including tax and GAP insurance...12k a year...and first two years of maintenance included....oil changes, too.
Plus, it can fit all my gear....so in the end it was a no brainer...I now drive a gay little hybrid like everyone other hippie out here.
Excuse, I need to go make tires marks outside in the Challenger to feel better about myself....

Is the Prius going to be the wife's DD?
Prius, meet Challenger. Challenger, Prius.
be glad that cars aren't humans
Congrats on the buy though
Didn't you recently put some audio stuff in the Pathfinder? an iPod connection or head unit or something? Was that sold with the car?

I put audio stuff in the pathfinder years ago. Pioneer Premeire deck with ipod and Alpine Type S speakers. And I havent sold her yet, going to list her tonight or tomorrow, and yes I'm selling it as is. The audio didnt cost that much and will hopefully help sell the car...

No, the Prius is my DD to replace the Pathfinder. Wife has a 2000 civic we'll replace soon enough.

Altima has surprising amounts of room in the trunk and backseat. Plus, if i have something that doesn't fit, i have a 4X4 Silverado pickup. Try getting into the backcountry in a Prius.

What it comes down to is cost of ownership and priorities. I've got things going on and this was the best fit for my needs. As I mentioned before, going to have to the wife a new car soon, too.
The overall cost to own this prius over the next 3 years vs. buying another used truck is much cheaper. Therefore, the better deal for my needs at this time.
And when I want to have my fun, I have my Challenger.
When you get older, you might understand.

Altima wont fit my Cart. Prius will.

Nice pick up David. I think the Prius is cool car. I'd have no problem driving one.

I am disappoint. You said you were looking for Grand Wagoneers. I was waiting to see something you were going to lift and put 37's on....
Congrats! I myself have been looking for a more fuel efficient car. I'm not so comfortable leaving it outside anymore, so I really considered getting a car that was cheaper to own since I commute 40 minutes each way now.
Funny cause I stumbled upon my car the same way. Never considered it.... then for a while everyone was like

You know what? It's a great deal, gets awesome mileage, has the room you want, and it's likely to be reliable (insert throttle joke here).
Good for you for buying a car based on what you need and what makes sense rather than being like a douchebag or two that's posted in here who act completely image based.
I MUST LOOK COOL!!!!

I was warned you had done this and I thought it was a prank. I had to see it to believe it.
Well for the sake of balance, I hope your Challenger guzzles gas faster than a fat kid in a shopping cart on a hill in San Fran :ghey:

Talk about owning 2 cars at opposite ends of the spectrum.
Congrats. Can't go wrong as a daily driver. But be honest, no way in hell you'd have bought one of those if you didn't already have a Challenger in the garage

Sarlacc, Prius.
Prius, Sarlacc.
That is a heck of a deal though. Now you can fit in around town.
Honestly, that's an amazing deal though, it's not far away from my phone bill.
I would have been hard pressed to pass that up. Rip the Challenger a bit more often to restore the balance so the universe isn't out of tilt long.

As much as I HATE Priuses (or is it Prii??) I have to say that if I had a Challenger in the garage to counter it, I'd be ok with one. You really have to have a badass car as well to cancel out the ghey, but stupid hybrid hysteria aside, I'm sure the Prius is a very good (and economical) utility vehicle....
