so I would advise, don't buy a C6 Z06 just yet...

right.

It turns out a main fuse blew in the engine compartment panel. A 30 amp fuse to be exact. I even checked a few fuses in that area but I missed that one. I would like to take a picture of the location but my camera is out of commission right now. Hopefully I can get one up in a few days.

Is there a non electrical way to open the door? I'm guessing thats what you mean by "auxillary door opener". Or course a brick could be considered a 'auxillary door opener". if there is one, its funny no one in the forum told him that.

if i'm not mistaken, the auxillary door popper isn't electric. It's manual Atleast, it'd be idiotic not to make it manual. It's there in case the batteries die

ok so, I feel partially bad about this thread... don't let what I said sway you in your decision to buy a C6 Z06.. go ahead and get one, it's ok. yours will probably be fine. thx

This would be different if the thread mentioned "Don't get a Ford Tempo" or something that's obviously bad. Corvettes haven't exactly been plagued with reliabilty issues. Most of these seem like isolated incidents.
But it also bothers me how every other manufacturer is glorified on here except for Honda/Acura. They still make damn good cars.

There is a 4 month long wait on new Z06. And if you have one, people will pay a premium for one. Basically those hardcore people.
The Lingenfelter are awsome and had chance to drive a modifed C5. But personally, I hate turbo, supercharger. Big cubic inches will do.

Then you stand on the side of the car and reach through the hatch and pull the lever behind the drivers seat to pop the door open.
