Jake, sorry we couldn't meet up last weekend. I'll be in NY again sometime in Sept, so we'll definitely hang out for a bit.
Didn't they say no manual for that one too?
I wish we could get a few of them back too.
Most of the good stuff was deleted.
Oh thats cute. You stalking us brah??
And yet you're still here. Funny how that works...

Please keep on topic, folks. Jeez.
The new SS is confirmed as automatic only. Too bad, but it can still be a nice sleeper for some dad.....
In the meantime, we have its predecessor right here in this thread. I'd love to hear a nice exhaust note...

10 is worse than I thought it'd be lol. I assume spark plugs and bad tires contributed? So we can expect better in the future? Awesome car though man, a car I'd like to have for sure if the gas mileage wasn't what it is.

im getting now 13-15mpg in the city on the regular gas which is big improvement
i love how the exhaust sounds on the cold start up... here is quick video just dont mind the bumper and diffuser which somebody allready f'ed up.(btw i thought it was GXP diffuser but is not [yet])
next week im getting tires but still not sure if should go with two sets of rims 19's for summer and 17" for winter or just use all season all year round... i want also put wider tires on the stock rims i thought about 265/40 or 265/35 tire or even 275/35 but i want too keep the setup square so i can rotate the tires. stock 245/40 is a bit too shy for this car
anymore tire recommendations ?
stock head unit is horrible and i cant replace it because it has built in climate control
im getting performance chip soon too im doing the research on which one will be the best for my car... so far i think cortex is best bang for a buck but if you guys can give me some advise on it please do so

I'll take the tires question.
The answer depends on how much money you want to spend.
If you can afford a second set of wheels/tires for winter, do so. Blizzaks all around + Stabilitrak will do you fine in NYC winters Your winters are not nearly as bad as mine here in Cleveland, and this setup works nicely for me. For summer tires, Hankook Ventus V12s are excellent and inexpensive. I ran those on my last CTS-V and they were 80% of the truly excellent stock Michelin PS2s for less than half the cost.
If cost is a factor and you don't want to spend on another set of tires, then a good set of performance all-seasons is a must. I recommend the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 or, if cost is an issue, Kumho Ecsta or Hankook Ventus V4. The Michies cost more, but with a tread wear rating of 500, you'll be keeping them a long time.
Bottom line, you want sport-oriented tires for your sports sedan to maximize enjoyment.
HTH!

If you decide to go with a summer tire I recommend either Bridgestone RE760 Sports or Bridgestone S-04 Pole Positions. I've had both and highly recommend them.

For your audio dilema, replace the stock speakers (I went with Polk in my Subaru), and add an aftermarket sub. Maybe not a big one, but one that will fill in the lows just enough. That might keep you happy.

Report back on what you think of the InTune. I've read so many mixed reviews on it.
23mpg is damn good!

your car looks awesome.
I remember in 2010, leftover GXPs were being sold at deep discounts and I really considered getting one before settling for an AWD 2010 TL. (little did I know that there's be absolutely no snowfall in the area the past 2.5 years...)
can I ask how much you were able to get it for?

Will do. So far i didnt feel big difference but car feels more resposive but i have to flash it back to stock because i have to take it to the dealer this week because rear differential makes some bad knocking sound under acceleration, after i get this fixed i will post the reviews

I want one of those so bad but TL's always come calling back for the luxury and the fuel economy (coming from an F-150) but like your thread title says, that torque...this thread makes my decision making harder

so i got some stuff that came in today at 5pm
i couldnt stop myself from instaling it immediately after receiving it so about an hour later it was Roto Fab intake was on the car
sound is amazing but i didnt have time to drive it too much afterwards...
the more i drive the car the more i want to replace rear diff for few reasons
first one gearing is very long and 2.92 diff can be easily swaped with one from camaro ss which is 3.27 and its huge improvement over stock
stock one i have on the car makes some noise but car is still covered under drivetrain warranty and im going next week for the service.

2.92 is the factory axle ratio on a 6AT?
I say do it.

Sweet intake!!! Roto-Fab has a great reputation. Very nice!
I hear ya about the diff. You think your 2.92s are bad? Try 2.65s in my Charger lol which makes it pretty much a dog off the line. We have the option of 3.06s from the Daytona and SRT8s or 3.73s and 3.91s from the Challengers. Someday I'll probably invest in some better gears when I don't care as much about MPGs.
