no, it was this, a CT200H, or an Accord
I thought so too, but she drove it, and fell in love with it.
we pick it up this weekend. The pic is just a teaser from the test drive

I like it a lot more than I thought I would.. I just wish I was able to sway her into the EX-L for leather and XM, but we got it for 2k off MSRP, then 500 off for being a graduate, so we basically got it for straight invoice.
She's happy, I'm happy. I don't have to worry about curb rash anymore

Edit: I don't know how I missed your edit, but probably not. If I get this auditor position, I may be looking into something even more fuel efficient. Plus, I love the proximity key and touch screen in the CRV, something that the Sport doesn't have.

So the Civic needed new tires....
So I got some. Michelin Defenders. 40 instant rebate, then a 70 dollar mail in rebate. 90k tread life warranty. These are probably the only set of tires that I'll buy for the car. The OEM Contis lasted 45k.. I've never been able to go 45k on a set of tires.
And I guess my tires were so far out of balance, that I thought my brakes were warped. After the new tires were put on, the shimmy under braking went away.

So I need feed back...
I went to look into an Accord Sport, but a lease since I can't seem to hang onto my cars for more than 2.5 years.
I was offered 14k on the Civic ( I'm at 45.5k ) and that offer is more than KBB, and spot on for edmunds..I have about 3.5k negative equity in the Civic since I drove so much in a short amount of time. I'm just about to move, so my weekly commute is going to drop from 350-400, to about 150 or so.
I got the Accord down to 22.4k (below invoice) and the residual value after 3/36k is 14.4k and a money factor of .00029%. Also zero down payment, deposit, ect. I can buyout the Accord at the end of term and turn around and sell it for 20k or so.. Dealers are selling them for about 22-24k still with 36k miles.
The thing that sticks out, is that my monthly payment will jump about 15 dollars, a lease is generally a lot less, we can factor in that 3.5k in negative equity, and my insurance will drop about ten dollars a month. (It's basically a wash, and I'd be using less gas)
I've never leased before, so that's why I'm reaching out here.. I can go in this coming weekend, and get a white one fresh off the truck ( it's currently in transit) or just hold off altogether.
I can use some pros/cons
I know I'd get a new car every three years, and the car would always be under warranty, so that's my pro..

1) Sell the civic.. because seriously.. it's a civic. Buy / lease something you'll enjoy (because life happens and it's short).
2) Sell civic, buy a beater civic cash. Drive it, only have liability, save money (ahhfeelsgoodman.jpg). 3 years later, buy bimmer and let everyone know you're a cock.

That's not a lot of miles. Just in case your situation changes.. beater civic.
idk.. it's not a situation I find favorable. Why not just buy a 2-3 year old Accord for 13-14k?
Is the Sport V6+6MT?

Because used still goes for about 20k+
Residual on the lease is 14.4, so that's what I would pay if I chose to buy it out. But the car is worth more if I turned around and sold it.. That's why I'm considering it. I can make +\- 6k if I bought the car at the end of the term, and sold it.
Also, it's the I4.. 6MT optional

You already know my answer.
Go for it... The only thing I would be worried about is the mileage. But since you're moving out of Fresno and won't have to commute to AG anymore, you should be ok.
If you buy it at the end of the term mileage don't matter does it? New to this lease stuff.

So a new one goes for the same price as a used one with 36k miles on it? WTF?
If you are for sure going to drive it only for that many years then a lease makes sense provided you can keep it within the mileage allowance. If you don't then there are expensive issues unless you buy it at the end.
That said, if you're upside down on your current car I'd wait until you fix that issue before buying a new one. The car you have is reliable and efficient so unless you have a damn good reason to buy a new one, I'd wait until you have positive equity before buying anything else.

Price difference between a used '13 and the offer I got is minimal.. There's a used '14 on their lot for 24.7k.. I was offered 22.4k for a new '15
I just don't know.. I'm 50/50.

Ran lease numbers on a '16 Accord Sport where I bought the Civic from..(my parents also bought two cars from the same dealership in the past) and they only came 1k off MSRP, and offered me 11k on trade based on the "condition" of my car.
It's funny they mention condition, the salesman and manager came out saying how wonderful and clean the car is, and that they would love to have it. All it needed was a deep clean (which I just did) and maybe PDR on two tiny dents. Maybe front brakes too, but really?
I have a vendor at work that personally knows the finance manager at another dealer. So I'll try them later in the week.

Looks like I made it through 2015 without buying something different. I'm closing in on 59k miles with the car and I'm just about due for the B12 service. I'll probably need to do the front brakes soon too.
Still eyeing the '16 Accord Sport and :flamesuit: '16 Civic 1.5T.
Buuut.. My dad offered me to buy his '13 FJ Cruiser when I'm ready.. That might actually be an investment since the damn thing doesn't depreciate. I just don't care for the blind spots and three windshield wipers . It will need better speakers since he didn't get the JBL option.
I'm moving December 31st, so a fuel efficient car is no longer needed, but still may be nice.

I WAS looking for a 4WD truck/SUV, but I need to keep my car now.
Commute for work round trip is now 110 miles per day. So I'll keep it until it's paid for, then just buy something fun like a Jeep or 4Runner afterwards.
I hit 63k yesterday. I'll be at 100k by next year.
