If your referring to the Leaf suspension Its not the same. DO a little research. Its a transverse composite leaf (not plural with one on each side) that works extremely well. Dry to find a down side to it! I suppose you could also complain because they are still using a Pushrod engine and havent followed the curve and went overhead cam too huh??

^^^I'm sure it does work very well (considering how awesome the performance of the Vette is). But its still a bit embarassing to hear people like Jeremy Clarkson laughing at us "colonists" for using such an outdated suspension design (no matter how good it performs)....

if it ain't broke why fix it? GM has jacked up enough nameplates, this one seems to just get better. That helps keep the cost down and keeps these cars within some reasonable reach.

Also, up until the last couple of years all the Top Gear guys would bag on any American car and (sometimes) with good reason. The Vette is damn good at what it does.

I personally like the G interior over the new TL/TSX interior when it comes to ease of use... I liked the 08 - TL interiors better But I am partial to touch screen navs.. I think The G is alot easier to use then the New TL/TSX center stacks which seem cluttered. In the G ther is like 4 ways to do everything from make a call to change the station. When entering data instead of the annoying scroll u have to do in the TL/TSX (which u can also do in the G) you can just touch the letter / button on the screen. The interior might not look as good but when it comes to ease of use the G deff wins.. Also when it comes to the M vs the G the M interior looks 5X better but is more complicated and harder to use, screen is also touch screen but way to far back to be comfy to touch where in the G everything is in Reach!

Gotta agree, I had a G37 sedan while my FX was being serviced and that thing was quick but the interior was nowhere near the quality of my '05 TL. I always wanted a G but I guess the TL interior spoiled me, the G was terrible IMO.

That being said, I would still love a G37 coupe, if only I could have two doors again

I agree that the G interior isn't the best there is but I don't see anything wrong with it...

Though I dont particularly like the aluminum trim (which is a feature found in two of my previous cars -- 05 Murano and 07 AV6), I love the interior of the Infiniti G. Honestly, Nissan heard the gripes regarding the interior of the 1G gen and responded VERY accordingly with the 2G. But I guess some folks wont be satisfied until Nissan flies them to Tochigi for the Bentley treatment.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that is the interior of the convertible (50k I believe) and while it is basically the same, some nice upgrades like the seat color. If you drive the car you will see it is basic and nothing feels great. The dash is really grainy and the steering wheel, to me, seems un styled along with a huge airbag center. The aluminum around the center also looks like an aftermarket stick on dash

Again, JMO

I drove a G37 sedan and wasn't impressed. It went fast in a straight line and had a nice exhaust sound, other than that, it was boring.

The sedan's exterior styling doesn't make a dramatic statement. I really like the "language" but not the execution. I like some elements of the car. I like the flowing headlights, curved tail lights, and twisted grille. IMO, it looks like they made a very sexy car then pushed its ends together and came up with a stocky-looking, upwardly bloated car. The coupe however,

This G's shifter vibrated too. I rest my hand on the shifter, and it annoyed the hell out of me. I did like how the instrument cluster tilted with the steering wheel though.

Personally the G trumps the TL in every category. Before I purchased my G, I had the TL high on my next car list, but after test driving the G, I was sold. The Infiniti is more bang for your buck than the TL.

BTW the G37's engine is smoooooooooooooooth as silk.

More bang for the buck in performance maybe, but that is all.

Lol my brother had an 03' Zo6 nothing feels fast after running it around a corner in 1st and just being glued and gasping for breath intill shifting into 2nd lmfao. Personally as fast as his Zo6 was, I'd still take his 04' M3 SMG he had like 4 years ago.

I like Infinity specially the motors but I have to the 3rd Gen TL just looks to so good, total instant ranging boner, that's why I like it. Plus Honda has made a great name for itself.

Actually you are in a general forum.....i don't think anyone has been negative. Just because they don't agree with you doesn't mean they are being negative.

YOU are the one who's been negative in the TL vs G threads, most on THIS forum acknowledge both are great cars, YOU are the one who has the chip on his shoulder that the TL is conqueror of all. Car Talk is a very neutral forum, one of the most diverse groups of open minded car folk on the web, which is why so many stick around post Acura ownership. I was at one point big into the VW community, I haven't stopped by a VW site in over 5 years.

My cousin still can't get over how the tail came loose going into 3rd gear at 75....the LSx is just an awesome motor...

Really? I see so much negative about the TL with owners who don't even own one in this thread. I have owned many cars and the G is one of them.

pimpin-tl I also own an Acura but I am willing to admit that Infiniti spanks Acura in just about every category. Interior quality was the only thing Acura had going for it but now both brands are on par.

Yeah dude no going to lie, I had butterflys and was a little scared every time I went in it, but something always dragged me back. My brother lost it in 1st while talking on his stupid cell phone and ran it into a Caution sign and a mailbox.

Yes. Infiniti cars G35/G37 mainly handle better and perform better no doubt about it. I never said they didn't, I said they did. But their interior quality is not up to par with materials like Lexus or Acura, even Hyundai now.

If you've watched car and driver tv, and seen their acceleration testing methods, you'll realize why they always get abnormally fast times. Not taking anything away from the 7 speed? auto 370, I'm sure it packs a whollop!

To me these two cars are just not on the same level. The 370Z is for a guy trying to choose between an overpriced boxter, and a dated S2000, while the Vette is for someone looking for the performance of a ferrari F430, but for 1/2 the price.

I'm sure the 370Z's you've seen had a couple grand worth of "goodies", in them. This is what would happen when you take your stock 370Z to the track, and try and chase after C6's--> http://www.nicoclub.com/articles/pro...37-part1.shtml

Well my 07 NISMO 350Z was enough to put Vette's to shame on the road courses driven by instructors as well. But I had mods where I was pushing 293rwhp to the wheels on a dynojet. The Z's handle very well in stock form (which mine had stock suspension as I never touched that). I have driven the Vette, IMHO I don't like the way they drive at all.

The australian built Holden Monaro HSV (2005+ Pontiac GTO) is definitely comparable to the nissan, and would manhandle it for a lot less $$. Now the holden Commodore (Pontiac G8) is a car that nissan doesn't have an answer for in the sports sedan category, especially the GXP, with the 6.2 L 415 HP engine, which can be cheaply modded to M5 performance.

I beat C5 vettes at the track, last summer, as well as all but one of the supercharged and turbo charged Z/G35 (chicagoZ.com), with my stock '07 335I. BUT, we were all in novice class, and I'm 100% sure, that I beat the drivers, and not the cars!

There's probably not much profit for Nissan in selling a VK50VE powered G-sedan for <$40k....other than to spite the discontinued product of a defunct brand. (If anything, a sedan of this nature would probably incorporate Nismo suspension goodies -- a la Nismo Z -- and compete against the IS-F and M3, costing $55k+. )

Yep, but when you are driving against instructors or in RED class, normally it isn't the driver anymore but it's combo the car and driver as the drivers should have the full potential to push the car. Now a course that allows the POWER of the Vette with many straight aways will allow the Vette to take on any car, but courses around here other than TWS allow us with lower power cars to go against high power ones easier. So the ones that handle better, the better driver, will come out on top usually. I will never forget the day I went last Sept that a Instructor was on my tail in her C6 Vette, and she went off the course trying to catch me.

I think its mostly the driver at these track events. I've seen instructors in stripped down E30's lap guys in F430's and Z06's....

Don't get me wrong I love the Acura products, I had a 01 CL-S and now have a 2010 TSX BUT as far as the technology and the way the car brands are moving into the future Infiniti has ALOT more tech and better engines transes then Acura / Honda has.. Infiniti IS becoming a bigger luxury brand and putting alot more space between it and nisson more then Honda / ACura is.
Infiniti /lexus/ acura was ONLY north american brands but now there are infiniti deales poping up all over europe where acura is still honda everywhere.
There is just not that much difference between honda and acura as there is INfiniti and Nisson.. And if you look at all the tecnology that infiniti offers in there cars that acura DOES NOT offer you will see what I am talking about.

There is just not that much difference between honda and acura as there is INfiniti and Nisson.. And if you look at all the tecnology that infiniti offers in there cars that acura DOES NOT offer you will see what I am talking about.
What do they offer that Acura does not? Last I checked Acura offered the same stuff and more (RL mostly has it) for a cheaper cost.
