Don't spend $5k on a car to hold you over for the next 6-24 months (also, what kind of timeline is that?).

You currently have a car. I assume its paid for? Or at the very least, you're not upside down on it? It's not breaking down? Use that to hold you over for the next 6-24 months.

That's called being stubborn, and sometimes bordering on ignorance.

You want modesty, yet lust for a Lexus or Honda from this century? Boy...get yourself this and learn some modesty:

PULL OUT. If that fails, find a conveniently located staircase.

Shit. So young, so naive.

My biggest fear is getting stuck with this Kia for that 6-24 months...

I should've kept the TL or got an Accord last time... I really want this car before it's 15 years old, cleaner examples are harder to find each passing day...

I plan to keep it atleast 5 years... The Kia is starting to deteriorate in small, mostly unnoticeable ways, but it has a dark history, and it's starting to catch up with it... It still looks and drives well now, but I need to ditch it before the paint falls off and becomes worthless.... (The Maaco paint job is not fading, but starting to peel away at the edges)

Let me repeat... I am terrified I'll be stuck with this car... I just want it gone while I can still break even...

Better yet, get 75% what I got it for... I did fix most of the broken shit on this car, unlike the red one...

My 6-24 month plan is to work toward getting a promotion at work and relocate back to my home state before I get a real apartment/rental home...

If you want the Accord, then go get it....
Nothing wrong with getting an older car. Plenty of ppl here do that.... but just dont call Accord a dream car. It is sad.

I can't wait for his review when he finally gets to drive some performance oriented cars..... dont have to be all dreamy and expensive.... drive a 6mt WRX will make him forget what Accord is.

I'm not into Subi's...

I wouldn't mind having a 2005-ish Legacy GT, however....

How about having a 14 year old Subi driving 100+ miles a day...

Hondas and Toyotas for me only!

Love the new thread title, BTW!
