Snow tires

For those of you who run snow tires in winter, when do you take them off?

It was 85 yesterday and has been 70+ for the last 2 weeks. It's unseasonably warm but makes me want to put the nicer wheels back on and start enjoying better MPG's.

I'm putting the all seasons back on the RL this weekend but if it snows even an inch, the Lexus becomes inoperable.

Guess it depends where you live.

When we were in NY I had Blizzaks for my TL... and I would put them on early December and take them off around April 1st.

i'm probably not the best person to answer this, but i took mine off at the beginning of the month. that's only bc we didn't have any snow this year where i live. it went from fall to spring...

i think you're good to take them off now. most people take them off before the first day of spring, which was earlier this week.

I install mine around mid December and take them off around late February.

Took them off last weekend. It was just too hot here (like 27*C, 80*F hot) for the past week or so... It was far too hot to be driving around on winter compound, I could hear them crying every time I took a corner at anything above a crawl.

It would typically be a bit early as I'd usually wait until the beginning of April, but with the weather we've been having it was a no brainer to get them off early.

Plus, now I can take corners the way they were meant to be taken

I'd take them off when your overnight lows are consistently near or above 40.

Maybe I'll do both cars this weekend, if it snows again I'll just be stuck at home.

You're right about that, especially on the RL.

The Lexus, I need them regardless. RWD + Summer tires

First winter I have winter sets on both cars, we get snow 4-5 times all year.

WTH you talking about. Its been the WORST winter ever. Already low Lake levels are going to plummet from the lack of snow. Wasnt able to use my skis or snow mobiles. If you dont like snow get out of WI and move to FL.

Oh, and i took the snows off a week or so ago. If it were to snow again id just throw them back on for the day or 2 but im guessing its pretty safe to remove them

I put mine on at the end of October. I usually take them off the first week of April. This year, I pulled them off this past weekend. Why ruin the snow tire by driving with them in 80-degree weather?

Even though temperatures are going to be seasonal again next week (highs in the 50's), I'll put back my all seasons next week...what a waste of Winter Tire usage.

Mine went on in October only because I sold my summer wheels to get something else. Usually I put them on when the weather is consistently 45-50* as the high.

They were off the car the first week of January though because of the crazy warm weather we've been having.

Put them on Nov 1 or by Thanksgiving and take them off April 1. Might be putting mine on this weekend though.

If anyone can help, it's someone from Chicago. LOL
I couldn't stand the last 2-3 weeks of 70's here so I bit the bullet and put the summer wheels on.

I don't see any chance of snow for the rest of the year so you should be good to go. Lovin this weather!
