I love it. Good work.
Why don't you like the CF against the car color? I would think it would flow really well and not stand out too much.

Shoofin you are my hero. Elise to Exige.....I am still trying to get my hands on an Elise - but that'll have to wait until I buy my next house with a 3 car garage......

Small update...
The tires you see on the stock wheels are wider than stock. Stock is 195/50/16 and 225/45/17. There are so few choices in matching front/rear tires in that size, that I attempted to get a little daring and go wider. The tires on the stock wheels are Continental ExtremeContact DW's, 205/50/16 and 235/45/17. It wasn't until I was driving home one night that I felt like I ran over something and heard a loud craaaaack. I get to where I'm going and inspect the car, don't see anything. Then I check in the wheel well, and realize that the passenger's side front splash shield/fender liner is gone. I put the car up on the lift, took all 4 wheels off to inspect, and realized the car is rubbing on all 4 corners. I raised the suspension up a bit, and stiffened the dampers a few clicks, to see if it helped. I marked the areas with a pink marker to see in the next drive if it would still rub. Not as bad, but it still is rubbing. Fcuk! I put the track wheels back on for now, and ended up changing the tires yet again. I went back to stock in rear, but stayed wider in front, but went lower in profile. I chose to go with the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11, 205/45/16 and 225/45/17. I haven't mounted them yet though. The most annoying part of the pin stripe is that it's next to impossible to mount another set of tires without scratching the stripe.I realized this when I took the stock Yokohama A048's off and mounted the Continentals. I even went as far as mounting them upside down, and STILL managed to scratch it. The pin stripe paint is too brittle, and has no clear coat on it, and putting tape over it also won't help, because the paint will come off on the adhesive of the tape (I tried that too). The black powder coated surface is fine though, and doesn't usually get marked at all. I'll either mount them again myself, or I may take them to a friend who has a better machine than me to try to do it without scratching them. Worst case I scratch it, I send them out one more time to be striped for a 3rd time
As for the CEL code I was getting, while I had the wheels off, figured I may as well tackle replacing the parts I bought in hopes that it fixes the issue. One part is easy to get, by simply removing the splash shield in the fender of the passenger rear wheel, while the other one would require me dropping the fuel tank to get to it . Anywho, as anything else in this car, it was easy to access, but a pain in the balls to remove. However I managed to take off the part, which is called the "canister close valve". Replaced it with the new one, then connected my OBD scanner, reset the CEL code, and fired up the car. Let it run for about 20 minutes, then shut it down for another 20. By then I put the wheels back on, and dropped her back to the ground. Fired her up, and went across the street to the gas station to put some gas - this is the ultimate test, because the #1 symptom of the problem was that the pump would stop every few seconds thinking the tank is full because the system isn't evaporating the fumes in the tank. I didn't want to put a lot of gas just in case I end up having to drop the fuel tank, so I put $10. I managed to fill it up without the pump stopping at all! I drove home, and no CEL. I went to work the next morning, and no CEL! Usually by now it would have came back on but it hasn't, so it looks like I fixed the problem! I haven't driven her since I parked her up last Monday, but I ended up going to my office tonight and picked up the Lotus, took it home, and still, no CEL! Problem solved!
This was the culprit:
I also got the rear view camera put in. I ended up going with a 4.3" monitor and had it taped onto my micro rear view mirror, so it's mounted up where the mirror is. The angle of the lens is a drop low for me, displaying too much of the ground. I need to have the mirror adjusted with a wedge or something so it repositions the angle a little higher. You could still see the cars behind me, but you see way too much of the ground, so I'll have that addressed this week. It's also a ridiculously wide angle lens, I think it was 170 degrees, so it really does a great job of showing me the cars in my blind spots too... The install was clean, and looks factory if you ask me!
Last things to do are to put the interior back together now, I'm also still waiting for the CF parts to come in, which I hope to see soon. I finally got the vinyl stripes, but haven't had the chance to take it to the shop to install, something I hope to do this coming week too. Very last thing is for me to decide whether to do the power upgrade or not...I'm not happy with the stock ECU tuning, so if I don't do the power upgrade, I will most likely at least have it re-tuned for a small bump in power and a smoother power band. Also, now that my CEL is off, I can finally get the car registered/inspected, so I can order my custom plates, which will most likely be what I last posted in my other thread about the plate choices...

I just need to adjust the angle of the camera slightly, because you're seeing too much of the floor. It's also a VERY wide angle, you can see cars 2 lanes over right behind my bumper. The benefit of that being it eliminates my blind spot, but at the same time, makes it hard to see the cars directly behind me because "objects are DEFINITELY closer than they appear". The car behind me in the display looks like it's 5 car lengths behind me, but when I look in the side view mirror, they are more like 1-2 car lengths...

Some more goodness....
Trying to get the interior back together....Installed the driver's side harnesses, just need to make some final adjustments to them though...
Hard to see the color, as my wonderful iPhone likes to play tricks with the true color of the harnesses:
Got some CF today too!
Waiting for the interior CF though...

Damn Eddy... looking freakin sweet. You're killing me here though. Trying to wait until after summer before scooping up an Elise myself (very heavily leaning that way as I keep coming back to it regardless of what else I look at)... but combing through this thread is making me antsy
Looks awesome though... keep the pics coming

Loving the orange harnesses and carbon lip. Your choice of upgrades look great. Keep it up.
Just get an Exige S already.

^ I wish. Likely an Elise. Too much other stuff going on to spend too much money on cars
Oh and Eddie... I'm sure you can find a little one in orange: http://www.ebay.com/bhp/because-racecar

The color matching looks so amazing! I personally would never have though orange, but it so totally works with the grey. So freaking nice!!

Car is officially registered! I ordered the custom plates too...Oddly enough, now when applying for custom plates, there's a box where you need to enter in why you chose to get this particular custom plate and what it means
Also started putting in some of the CF....Will try to do the rest next week...
