Junkster, who really wants a Jag SUV
blind? far from it. I immediately recognized the car as a subaru. Pull up a side shot of the legacy GT wagon and then a side shot of the saab 9-2x and you wont see much difference. When someone said it was the wrx, i immediately recognized it as such.

i knew it was a subaru from that get-go. I'm at least in the same ball park.

You said it looked like a Legacy GT...

wrx does not look even remotely close to a redesigned legacy... come on. I know you meant WRX, I was just giving you a hard time.

I really don't think the Subaru line shares any design DNA to speak of.

Junkster, who wonders if someone could post pics for comparison

Looking at those two pictures, all you need to do is change the headlights and grill section and you have nearly identical cars. The legacy just has a longer trunk area.

And a longer wheelbase, and no visible D pillar, and roof rails, and the sunroof, and the sideview mirrors, and the engine, and the wheels, and the fenders, etc...

It's a much bigger difference than you think.

Just so you can see, here are pictures of the 9-2X compared to the WRX Wagon on which the 9-2X is actually based.

WRX Wagon

man, this thread won't die...

Yes, let us look at the two pictures...

The C pillar is hidden in the legacy while the 9-2x has a featured C-pillar.

They are both wagons, which of course will give them similar profile.

Junkster, who doesn't understand DC's logic on this one

What is the difference between the legacy wagon and the outback? I thought the legacy wagon was the outback?

Either way saab is just a good looking, but stupid and overpriced, rebadged econocar. Pointless

The Outback sport, as far as I can tell, is just a raised and body cladded version of the standard Impreza wagon. The rest of the Outback line looks like it's derived from the Legacy chassis, but raised for added ground clearance.

You're right - they are both wagons with hoop scoops

ha ha, I revived it!! woooooooooooooooooo

I still think they look relatively similar (legacy vs. wrx/saab92x). But obviously after someone pointed out that its just a rebadged wrx, I now see the light.
