s2000 here I am!
So after much waiting my wife and I purchased an S2000 on Wednesday. It will replace the TL I've been driving.
Purchased a 2004 Silver 61k, dealer serviced and in mint condition. $15.7 It was the best value/condition in the bay area. Just couldn't pass up this deal.
So we're selling our beloved TL. Which is also in great shape. But hey, I can only drive one car and the wife will want something next year.
It's been fun, talking cars with you guys.
Can anyone recommend a good s2000 board like this?
Rob!

I didn't need the space of the TL anymore and so it was a logical choice for me. It's been 10 years in the making. I've always wanted one and never able to get by with 2 seats. It was a now or never. Once we have kids there will be no buying a 2 seater. But if Dad already owes one, well that's another story.

A picture
I just went to the dealership, turns out there is a power train warranty to be transferred into my name. Goes to 2011 - sweet deal.
Not sure if I'll mod it. I really like the stock look and feel. I'll change the shift lever, has a fat momo shifter. I like the ti honda one better. I would consider a brake upgrade though. Maybe some dual or triple pistons.

Many congrats on the purchase man! I got a 2005 silverstone S2k 3 weeks ago. The S2000 truly is an astonishing car. I'm very happy with mine so far -- I've been having lots of fun in it. As others have said, check out s2ki.com. It seems to be the most active s2k forum on the net. There's a pretty active regional form for us Bay Area S2kers. I'm thinking about becoming a more active member and maybe going to a meet some time. I'm in SJ right now... I'll be looking for ya out on the roads!

Congrats! I had a 2008 but traded it in this spring, it was a blast to drive, fun and reliable, on sunny days I miss it. I also recommend S2ki, a lot of great information and great members over there, I learned a LOT about the car from the forums.
I also had a fairly modest stereo in mine, I have some of the components still, if you have any interest at all let me know. There are some great options at improving the mediocre factory stereo with out breaking the bank or losing factory dash controls!
Enjoy the car in good health!

My picture stopped working here it is again
Well if you do simple engine mods, you'll like the feel better and still enjoy the aesthetics cuz you won't see most of them..even with the hood open..just sayin. Oh and dibs on projectors if anything ever happens to it! Not sayin it will and certainly not hopin for it tho...

Congrats on your S2000.
I drove mine to work today and it's such a blast to drive, especially when you get to know the limits of the car.

^^^^^^
Yes, it does say something about the S2000. Torque may be great, but it isn't everything. Shifting at 9k rpm....there is no sound like it in all of motoring.

It's like comparing Apples and Carrots, each car has a very specific purpose and the are not overlapping in the least, aside from being fine representations of their specific purpose.

Congrats on the purchase.
The S2000 is still high up there on the potential "next toy" list. Can't decide if I'd rather spend the extra dough on a '04-'05 Boxster S instead.

well guys, to tempt you more, I just did a road trip. 430 miles, 75mph, with a mountain pass. 29.25mpg. Car's rated at 25mpg.
So it's getting as good as the TL is rated for. I do run the 91oc on this motor due to it's compression of 11.1:1 and 8k red line. Some folks claim they get up to 32mpg. I'll try.
But if you were on the fence. Get off it. We're selling the TL and I'm not looking back.
