RSX - more power?

RSX - more power?
Greetings. I own an '06 RSX Base Model with S-Package accessories. I am looking to tune my car for more HP than the 155 it came with. Is this something that can be done at the dealer with OEM parts since the S-Type is practically the same engine?
I'm a newbie with this aspect of the auto industry. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, and welcome to the forums. I think it would be better for you to post at .com and a few of the other RSX fourms as acurazine doesn't have one. I think the RSX-S has a larger motor that the TSX currently uses. The only thing I can think for you to do is do a motor swap or parts swap with the RSX-S motor. Also try looking at the usual stuff like exhaust, air intake, catalytic converters, and some weight reduction.

Since you're new, you probably won't be able to do the real power-gaining mods yourself, like cams, head swap and the supporting mods. Stick to just basic mods like intake, exhaust and header.
No offense, but it isn't worth the money to mod a base RSX engine-wise. As mentioned bolt-ons like an intake would be cool, but beyond that its a waste of money unless you go forced induction (turbocharger/supercharger)
99.99% of EVERYTHING (including the snacks & drinks) you buy at the dealer is a rip-off. Most places will have stuff and do work that is either cheaper and/or better.
A good place to start asking questions is .com

Anyways, intake+race header+exhaust does wonders for the Type-S....i'm sure you'll notice quite a bit of difference. See if theres a Kpro reflash for the base model as well.
Also, you'll probably get a lot more help @ www..com

There are a number of companies that stock performance parts for your car and its K20A3 engine, from intakes to exhausts to computer chip upgrades. See the website in my prievious post for more info.

on what the others said. More info to be found on the other sites.
How fast the base RSX goes depends on how much money you sink into it. I remember reading about some people having success swapping a K20A2 head onto a base K20A3 block and tuning with KPro, and others have just gone for a K20A engine swap or turbo. Good luck.

where is....
rsx base and type-s are not really the same engine.
try getting parts for the 02-05 civic si because they use a k20a3 but they use a different intake manifold.

When you own your very own website, you can decide which traffic you wish to send away from your site and to your competition. This is the way the owners of Acurazine handle it, and IMO, it's a smart decision. Sending traffic away from your site is never a good thing for an internet business.
This has been answered before, but there it is again. If anyone else keeps talking about it after my post, they'll get a vacation. If you don't like it... tough shit...
