RSX has trunk mounted Bose bass box!! WTF!!

The new RSX will have separate Bose bass box located in the inside of spare tire, neat design indeed. However I'm little pissed that the lower price car like RSX might have a better sound system than our CL-S. I'm sure the bass box will fit into our CL's spare tire too so maybe we can buy it from the dealers later. One thought; RSX is a hatchback so the bass box under the trunk floor still can be heard from the driver seat, not sure it will be the same for CL because our car is coupe.

The factory bose woofer in the TL's Suck so I can just imagine how it'll sound in the RSX. Just go get a custom made one. I have a jl10w6 in a very small box and sound great.

I think the sub in my TL-S sounds great...but im not into the hard hits like i used to be when i was 16.. i lost hearing i think from my 2 12" rockford punch!! Sad part is that it was in my 96 chevy s-10 pick up, so it was in the extended cab part.. soo all that bass was right behind me! ahh I miss my first car!

I haven't heard the one in the TL, but I was just suggesting that Acura may have decided to put subs in all its cars now, even the less expensive RSX. But I definitely will be adding a sub or two to my CL, but first I need springs. I like the sub in the TL though b/c you can at least use the opening for the sub as a port to get the bass from the trunk into the cabin like I saw in some pictures.

Here's the specs on it as well as a pic.

Subwoofer
Will mount in the spare tire area, along with the tire. Powered Kelton bass-reflex subwoofer. 80W maximum output, 40W normal. Frequency response 20-400Hz, distortion 0.5%

This is the one from the S2000. I'm sure it's gonna be exactly the same. BTW, it has not been released yet for the S2000.

I doubt that little PISSER will make that much difference in the BASS department.
You got to go aftermarket if you want to hear the BOOOOM.

80 Watt output…..HA HA HA

I laugh at 80 Watts
I got 400 in my trunk.
