A realistic upgrade path for me is a 2G Sedan 6MT.

Vagon works too

See you really are trying to get back in a Vagon. Come on now get one while we all still have ours and join the club so we can have a Vzine meet.

Only think I didn't like about the Vagon was the drive. I think J touched on it earlier, but it has that larger feel.. and I love the tight handling of the AMG. Loved the look and functionality of the Vagon, but not sure about getting another one.

I don't think a new one would drive up the price of the 2G Vagon. At that point, if a new one was released, the 2G Vagon would be less of a unicorn since a bigger, badder machine would replace it...

Come drive mine with the sway bars and lowering springs and see if it is any better. It still fills a bit large but has a lot less body roll. Only issue might be I still believe the rears are blown but there is no oil on them.

Waiting for J to come visit so he can tell me if they are since his were blown.

Honestly, i was hellbent on it originally but I switch to sport so infrequently, I could have been fine with coils and the bypass.
Although I still wasn't a fan of the pricing.

I agree I don't want to do coils cause I know if I do them this time around I am going to want to go with KW3 over the BC Racing option which is what I had on the F and they are so much.

if i ever do coils on the car i'll also go KW... but i'd do the HLS series where you can lift the front of the car when going over speed bumps and curbs... but yea like you said... it's $$$$$$

Air is getting pretty affordable too...
So...in the fear of the rear one wheel getting powder and it not matching and not wanting to deal with dismounting etc right now...
I opted to clean up the major curbage using a dremel and some 800 grit...
Polished lip looks damn good...

Fkng moron that I am I didn't check if the touch up paint was still good before stripping away

took me about an hour...last time I did it I just slapped the paint on to hide the damage and it hid it well except or the ridges and scratches underneath. I thin this will make it look good enough.

Okay, thanks man...
I'll try that because the match was spot on and he went on a mission getting it right.
He suggested that but I was certain it wouldn't work.

Wow the HLS setups are actually hydrollic and not air. That is pretty cool but the prices are crazy. Will coils and a universal HLS2 front only system you are looking at $5800-6000 for the suspension. Maybe BC Racing doesn't sound so bad. You can do BC Racing will a full air cup system that does the same thing along with a set of the KW Magneride delete plugs for $2500. Also there was a guy on the forum that posted you can build your own Magneride delete plugs for about $20 parts. If you do that you can do front air cups and full coils for $2000. Now that is actually fairly tempting. Then I wouldn't have to worry about my carbon front lip at all.

I read a bunch of words that read to me like "yeah, let's just buy springs for $200 and call it a day"

remember you pay for the benefits of Hydraulics with the KW system... if you plan on using the lift system a lot then i would pay more for the hydraulic system...

You guys are such fucking ballers...
gone are the days of $2000 to $6000 mods for me.
Even then, I could probably only stomach spending that if I were getting an entire project car.

and alas...the car payment is starting to annoy me...
Soooo...

bro with this renovation, i've been writing $5k, $7k, $10k checks weekly... (i'm not bragging)... i'm just saying, the wife gets what she wants in the house, eventually when/if i write a check for $2k-$6k for the car, i don't want to hear any complaints...

hmmm but even if you get rid of the car will you still have a note to worry about??? i'm also getting the itch... two weeks ago my buddy was able to buy back his first car from the guy he sold it to 8 yrs ago... after watching the latest MCM episode, they did a 10 second sleeper on a JDM Cresta... my first car was a Cressida and i always wanted to either do a 2JZ or LS swap on one... problem is finding a clean one...

I'm with you...
honestly, I've strongly considered a MDX, 08 to 11...something like that...and sell wagon and take the equity and some cash and have no note.
Plus, it seats 7 and gets decent mileage.

I'm serious about that...I kinda just have a different perspective and my financial monthly expenditures vs single income are not making me that happy.

Or loose both cars and buy an Audi S4 outright...but I think I'd regret the maintenance on that.

Just thinking out loud...dumbrockstarring, if you will.

completely understand this... you have two highly desirable cars so you should make out well and be able to properly position yourself from a financial standpoint... at the end of the day, they are only cars and you can always get another one later... eventually the novelty wears off but if you have different priorities at the moment, take care of them bro... with all the road trips you do with the bikes, kayak, Z and j... the space of an MDX will tick a lot of boxes... and it's a great vehicle... when we were shopping for our first SUV whilst waiting for baby C to arrive, i initially wanted the MDX but when i came across the GX in my price range, it was a no brainer... gas mileage sucks though...

I guess hydrolics it is cause I would be using it every day to get to and from work. I guess I will be waiting for that then or maybe never and sell my springs and get some uncut ones.

The suspension setup sounds cool but I don't think I could spend that like you said above. Probably another set of springs that are uncut are in my future then.

Yeah the car payment sucks a little but hope you are able to keep the wagon. She looks amazing. Don't know how many year note you went with but if it is a short one then once it is done you will have a perfect paid of pair if it is only 3 years or so. I have decided that baring any other major issues with this car this will be my first 9-10 year car. 4 years of payments and then 5-6 with none.
