Why would JB buy a V? You confused AF Flip.

He's just fluffing your cock, he may have good memories of the V, but he's moved on big time.

What was your reason(s) for selling it?
#4857
Tough to say, Adam...for a long time now I've been kind of pondering if I wanted to keep the car because I loved it, or because other people loved it. Maj nailed it early on with some of his poking fun at me...
Topic of conversation anywhere you go
Cool and mean looking
Rare...
the list goes on for why the car would be awesome to have and drive...and I'm grateful I was in a financial position to have experienced it.
I'll daily what I've got and keep tinkering and eventually I'll sell something else to get my next fun car.
Maybe if I had paid the extra for manual and recaro and thunder grey...maybe...
Bottom line, if I was to have a car with that much power that sucked gas that badly, I'd rather it be my weekend car and not my daily driver. Maybe a burnt orange grand sport C6 Vette or something...who knows, and even then...those get good gas mileage when you baby them on the highway...with the Cadillac if you drove it like a granny you got shitty gas mileage (which defeated the purpose) and if you got on it it got shittier gas mileage.
- The car is awesome, no doubt but...my circumstances changed from when I bought it and made the cons outweigh the pros for me. I was never that comfortable with spending as much as I did on a car payment for it and hated the inefficiency of it. Living 5 miles from work offset that for me, though.
- Of all my cars, it was the only one (other than the S2000 which is off limits to sell) that made a financial difference to sell off. Between payment on it, $60 every 2.5 days for gas and double the insurance of any of my other vehicles. If it were my only one car and I was IN LOVE with it, I would have not cared
- I had my fun with it for 2 years and I am excited to know the next owner will take it to the next level.
- For a wagon, it was tight inside and because of the cool shape of the car, all openings into it were tiny.
- I bought it 3 months before Betty dropped that bomb on me...and yes it was the car I went on my first date with J in and all the other sentimental stuff but really it feels like I'm closing an emotional chapter in my life and this was a reminder of that time.

Sad to see it go (really sad you suckered me into watching a video, where a car just backed up) but it sounds like it makes sense.
Good luck to the new owner and hope he doesn't put his hand where you had your first date.

No harm, no foul.
You had your fun with it, now it’s on to the next one, on to the next one
Keep your financials a bit tidier for now and eventually find your next toy, whatever it might be. Because you know there will be a next toy. Don’t lie to yourself, J!
With you, I’m wondering if it will be some sort of P-car, S5, or S4. Or... completely and entirely different. I guess I’ll just wait for the new thread to one day pop up on AZ

Naw...we have the Ody now, no need for another car that fits everyone...
you're not far off, Adam...
P Car is on my list at some point...and S4 is the likely winner...or low enough mileage manual turbo 2.0 Avant A4 to tune the shit out of.

Null and proud of it
Just discovered your YT channel... Didn't realize until today that you sold your V... Also, I remembered you saying your blue TL had a weird sound on the starter, but I saw your video, and that would have scared the heell out of me...
Also, TL had cool sound in driving video...
Really makes me want another J series!!!
So, no more V ride, where to go from here... According to previous posts you have an Ody?

LOL...
we collectively have 5 vehicles still...
and I have 2 new muses as it stands so I'm alright...
Who knows, man...maybe thunder gray MT sedan is in my future! Or grand sport vette...or or or...
I just know when I see a car if it's attainable, I'd like to give it a shot for a bit...then when the time comes, move on.
Day 2 waking up with it not in front of my house...no Ragrets.
new owner text me yesterday saying that a guy was breaking neck looking at it and giving him thumbs up.
I'm like, yeah don't worry, I have a minivan now...he's like, you done fucked up for selling it! LMAO

Sad to see one of the gang go but you have so many awesome cars too. The way you put it definitely made sense and you got your asking price which makes it all the better.

Well good for you, I'm happy you were able to get the price you wanted and the way you explained it (not that you needed to) made a ton of sense.
I can't say selling mine hasn't crossed my mind a few times since I really don't use it as much as I would like.. But I just can't bring myself to do it.. As I mentioned in another post, I have too much history with that car in regards to the road trip that me, my oldest son and my Dad took to pick it up...
So as it is now, the second owner of the V will be my oldest son and fortunately my other two sons are fine with it. I'll just have to make it up to them in another way.. LOL

I will likely be buying another road trip vehicle down the road so J reached out to me immediately when he was having thoughts of selling. I just have too much going on right now and wasn't quite ready so I couldn't pull the trigger, but glad you were able to sell it @rockstar143 ! Hopefully it went to a good home
