Definitely need the aux fuel tank on the roof to support all that tire shredding

Nothing really new to report...took a few friends in the V here and there...left plenty of 100 foot patches...
Best part was...felt vindicated for getting the wagon. Met up with Dad and family...and they were gonna uber but decided 'fuck it' and squoze in.
1 baby in massive car seat, 1 huge stroller, and 6 fucking ADULTS in the wagon. NO rubbing...no problems...and still fast enough to freak everyone out.
oh and Luis Abreu on Facebook CTS group had a special on his LED. I had to jump...$65 for everything including the license ones I don't need since I already replaced them.

This is what I get for taking some time off. But now it's like a fine wine that's had a chance to age...
That's good stuff. I *am* still snickering about Herb Chambers.
The car looks great DeerMeat!
Reading about all your bike rack woes, and I can't help but think, why not mount it all the way forward and then don't use the sunroof tilt? I have the same issue with the rack on my truck. And 99% of the time, just having the moonroof panel slid open to remind me the insert above the sunroof is installed is enough to keep from tilting it into the rack. (The other 1% of the time though, I'm glad that Toyota engineered a safety stop that prevents the sunroof from tilting against an object until it breaks, for when I forget).

Cool deal I will check with him.
Love how white your head lights and fogs are and that they match so well.

Santa did!
yeah, I feel you, man...some things occupying me too.
Definitely better than dead.
Got the LED installed last night inside...definitely updates the look and feel of the car to have that cool white-blue hue. Money well spent. Most of them you could use generic bulbs but the rear hatch ones were strange ones...
plus, Luis is a super nice guy so for it to be a package deal where he already sends you individual ziplocs labeled for where they go.
Original reason I skipped out is because I didn't want the stadium lighting I had in my TL where I wanted as bright as possible and got panel led boards. These aren't like that....they're subtle and somewhat dim. Perfect and classy.
He literally sends you EVERY interior bulb!
Also addressed my yellowing headlights today...

For fogs I am still torn between white and yellow. I have always done yellow fogs on cars so far. I am not completely against doing white fogs but I want them to almost match 100% if I do them.

Jason, my sincere feel is no, they aren't "BETTER" enough to warrant spending the $180 on them...the oem are fine...
you'd be better served buying an hid kit from theretrofitsource (try code STEADYMOBBIN for 20% off) and then buying $10 ebay bulbs until you get ones that match.
I bet a 35 watt 4300 would be great. Yellow, to me, is very 2005 and at the very least JDM.

Yellow lights, one of the great debates!
At the very nuts-and-bolts technical level, you'll be getting less total light output with a selectively filtered yellow bulb/housing vs. a white light.
Subjectively, the human eye "prefers" non-blue hued light (is better able to discern detail with the absence of the blue wavelength) but I'm not sure the white-to-yellow filtration is really in that academic argument; it's more based on selective light wavelength perception.
Here is a good read (if you're a nerd): http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...ellow_1114.pdf
TL;DR: People have argued yellow vs. white for a long time and it's a pretty polarized (heh, no pun intended) discussion. In the end, go with whatever you find aesthetically pleasing. Both work about the same in modern automotive fog lighting.

White light output and lighting I would say is better 95% of the time personally. But in dense fog it seems to make it almost impossible to see where as yellow you still can see great obviously but doesn't seem to reflect the fog as much.
I only could test this on my TSX since I had the fogs wired completely independent of the headlights so that they worked whenever I wanted. 55Watt Nokya Hyper Yellow bulbs in a JDM reflective housing with the front bulb block piece removed makes for a super bright light. Most likely it was illegal but it worked great. The same bulbs in the ISF fog lights were almost worthless.

Just not a huge fan of the yellow but that's only because in SoFla it's for looks, not to actually help see.
Thanks Diddy...I appreciate that, man.
Okay, so some shots of the headlight work and leds. Just phone uploads to photobucket...
basically my buddy sanded and taped off where there is that weird glue that over time develops a yellowish hue (even under the lens)...shot that with raven black...then untaped and cleared the lens along with the S2000 lenses. Took us a few hours but it was nice to hang out with him.
LED
and just for you Jason...
output down the street...tried to adjust white balance to best show real...I mean, it gets the job done but as fatty pointed out, not very sharp or far.
and just to make Majofo proud

J, the car looks fan-fucking-tastic per usual... and I'm jelly of your light output.
If you don't mind me asking, how much did that headlight refinish run you?

He charges $100 per set for him to do the sanding and clear...he can do it on the car or bring the lens.
You technically could ship him the lenses if you really felt like it, but anyone should be able to clear yours. He doesn't even need to wetsand/buff after...they come out looking brand new.
Thanks T...

Small details, but they matter to me.
Trim piece had a hairline crack on it...it was enough to annoy the shit out of me. $150 later...
I know some knock GM quality...but the way their bumpers go on and door panels come off have truly impressed me. 3 hidden screws and pull...then there's just the door pull...all the plugs on the door are built into the door panel so when you pull it away it unplugs.
held on with these pressure "bolt" that kinda cut their way onto the posts
damaged vs new
Next up was the rebadging...there was another mix up with Nate and I he didn't realize I had sent him everything back, so I'm missing the front and rear emblem inserts...for that reason I didn't do the exterior...I like a package deal. I just test installed my extra V emblem along with the all weather mats.
Great little details to make it look unique!
Rear one wasn't bad...the sides are fading under the red and the red on rear and front look faded and kinda pink
pry up and dig and clean and sand and alcohol
center caps look sharp...he couldn't duplicate the crest so we went with larger but OG logo on them...gonna make the wheels look really kinda custom IMO
all weather mat time...
matches everything else, obviously...
even if I ever change theme again, I will be fine with inside staying like this
Rear trunk tray too...but forgot to upload.

Nice!
That integrated panel/plug feature is damn nifty! The trick of popping the panel halfway off and contorting to disconnect the harness without cocking anything up always annoys me. What GM did is definitely a neat idea.

Thanks Joe...
yeah, super nifty...I figured some of you engineering type would definitely appreciate that!
Took me a bit to figure out disconnecting the door pool anyway but it was much easier and putting it back together took like 2 minutes.

Emblems look good. Love the fact he even makes ones that match for the floor mats and get rid of those ugly ones that come on them.

I think it's nifty until you have to troubleshoot something
