Sweet pics. I thought the car was white in some of them, lol. And Ross is right, the emblems look 10x better with the dip removed from the middle.

Funny thing is, from a distance, it looks great to me, stance is perfect. But, knowing that the car should be an inch or more lower to really look mean and aggressive...and that replacing the tired 130K mile stock suspension with some quality coilovers will improve handling and looks...gotta do it.

I agree about the emblems, does look tons better. Wait till I get the black JDM ones...then it'll look official. My only gripe about the plastidipped emblems is they look like plastidipped emblems Sides I don't mind since there isn't a difference from the black ones I bought last time.

Jeremy, I'm due for coolant and a valve adjustment too if you want to get together one weekend...
Let me know when you're doing the coils, I'll come drink beer and hand you tools. Did you for them yourself last time? I found it easiest to disconnect the upper A arms to do the fronts.

LOL...thanks Jeff. I do all my own work with the exception of some bigger things.

Although I'll likely be doing suspension at Ricky Flores' warehouse place. Appreciate the offer.

Jeremy, the one consistent theme on this forum is "lowering cars". I heard it on the Stingray too.....the first thing was, "lower that thing."

New new S looks great-just the way it is. Lower it if you get bored. If you're not bored, go drive the damn thing and enjoy it.

Lowering it isn't a maybe for me...ever. I kid myself into thinking maybe I wouldn't with the TL...but a month later, coilovers were ordered.

I can't do it...I have to have that perfect stance where it looks low. I won't go as low as I did last time, but I do want to lose some body roll on cornering.

I won't knock them...because they are cool and there's a cult following. But after owning the S, I couldn't bring myself to.

If that's all you care about...but then...why not an LS swapped turbo S2000 that kicks YOUR ass?! Then what? I have to love the car I own...no convince myself it's cool in one regard only to justify not loving other aspects. Same reason I can't STI.

For all it's worth I much prefer the S2K over the Miata too. The later has a very cult following and is great but in its base form it lacks power... With the S2K Honda pretty much juiced all of the power they could from it and I think it makes for a great combo.

Quite different in styling too.

I'm just playing - I'd definitely take an S2K over a Miata as well. I was just giving Drowningpool a hard time

Granted I think they're both great cars and really, how many enthusiasts leave a Miata stock internally... the S2K on the other hand, I've seen stock a plenty. Iunno just my

Then again I did say I would take a G8 GXP over a F10 5 series BMW in Ramblings and I'll probably never hear the end of it, but that's just my personal taste I guess

OK that's it for my thread derailing. Totally want to see it lowered and on some pretty black (read: concave) wheels

I think you're out of your mind...for every bone stock one, I see at least double with full bolt on and usually 1:1 with forced induction. LS swaps are done too, but less frequently.

Either way, I don't mess (too much) with perfection

Well, valve adjustment went smoothly...wish me luck, about to turn it on. Also did a plug swap and coolant change.

And dumbass rockstar...electric power steering. I think that means I'll have 3 extra bottles of power steering fluid. I wonder if amperage is hygroscopic

Also...awesome, every single plastic locking clip on the coil packs broke. Every.single.one. Guess the heat cycles and it being under the valve cover cover makes them brittle. Good news is that someone loved this car...already had some dirty Iridium plugs (platinum is stock, iridium the upgrade) and a tie wrap on one of the coil pack wires. I ran some big industrial tie wraps on each one...shouldn't ever come unplugged.

Wet electricity, it happens!

Freaking plastic things, it's bound to happen when the car turns ~10. Programmed obsolescence some might say.

Yes sir...I figured once number 2 and 3 broke on me. I might eventually get a new harness, but for now...fuck it...it works.

Got the black jdm emblems on today too...and spoon over rear view mirror. Adjusted the clutch pedal (thanks Chip!) and with the valve adjustment and the new plugs...she's running like a fucking dream.

J.
