You should LS swap tha...oh wait never mind.

Edit to add: Supercharging that 15 year old Yukon without totally changing the suspension and brakes will quickly transform it into the most neurotic mess of a car ever to hit the road.

just throw a blower kit on the vortec and call it a day

You might want to swap out the rear drums though for some added stopping power.

Stopping is for pussies. Also, this thing will win whatever impact fight it gets into. Rear drums FTW!

Can't figure out why the window won't go down...

I had taken the door panel off once before so that went quickly but seriously...10 minute job along with $70 for the higher end AC Delco regulator.
Window goes up and down in like 2 seconds now...kinda want to do the driver side too...but naw...

Daddy is a champ...
she's like, movie Daddyyyyyy

oh and got rid of the CEL for $25...fuck, I love Murican parts

I do need tires...considering either going with smooth highway, or something with a little tread for some light off road sugar sand...
I don't want loud tires or worse mpg...I'm thinking stock size Cooper Dickscoverer AT3...

otherwise I might just get ignorant and spend a little extra for some newer take offs

Funny... I was just going to say that what you are looking for is the Cooper Discovery AT3.

Put a set on the 4runner and I'm digging them. Better than the OEM crap and more than sufficient for light offroading. Even some moderate offroading, really.

And they don't break the bank. Which is importent when you have 18 vehicles and 27 mouths to feed or whatever you're at now.

Honestly, man...you probably just put me over the top with that suggestion...
I kinda don't want to spend another $400 over a set of tires just to get semi used tires on newer wheels and then have to store my stocks...

With the $120 in rebates right now lookin like $450 for 265/70/17.
Thanks for that, man.

Don't go with the Discoverer's. They are trash tires and wear pretty unevenly and create a lot of road noise. Just moved on from a set on the girlfriends jeep that had 75% life left on them.

They're generally well reviewed and recommended by the 4runner nerds. But, I guess, YMMV. (Perhaps literally)

The thread pattern looks great, but the performance of them were horrible in my opinion. We moved on to a new brand Hercules TerraTrac AT II. Love them so far.

Shit...
I was almost literally going to order them...
was considering the Cooper Evolution HT but almost no reviews on it...

I'm torn on if I should go somewhat all terrain, or just stick with highway cruisers...

Are you ever going to go beyond a gravel road? If no, then get the highway tires.

Yeah don't start going down that road. You'll buy offroad tires, and then the next thing you know, you're raising your suspension 4" and spending a shit ton of money on wheels and suspension pieces that will likely never see any heavy duty offroading.

You bought it to haul the family, so use it to haul the family. Spend your modding money elsewhere. Or save it. Or invest it.

This is J we are talking about. It'd be easier for him to chew his own arm off, then avoid buying car parts. Once that Pandora's box opens, there's no stopping

In that case. 37" super swampers and a 3" body lift. Probably going to want to re gear too.

*edit*

I just kinda guessed at that, but it's not a bad look. Though these aren't swampers

I'm a little late to the party but congrats on the Yukon... That thing is a beast and if you ever become pressed for space you can always park the S2000 in the back of the Yukon... LOL.

Okay, so this vehicle has very quickly become a favorite to drive...aside from Z loving it and asking to go in the "big truck" so she can watch movies...being in a rolling living room is fucking awesome.
Oddly, offsetting the regular vs premium gas, this actually costs me LESS to drive than the Caddy (although much less smiles per gallon).

So far my list of things done:
  • sew up driver seat bolster
  • clean up the ac solenoid
  • oxygen sensor and 2 sets of defoulers
  • passenger window regulator
  • fan clutch
  • replaced lower headlight plastics
  • replaced license plate light bracket
  • bought all weather mats and sun shade
  • tinted front windows to match rear
  • Upped the keys on the front torsion bars to even out ride height
  • 20" 2015 Denali take offs with Michelin Defenders
  • Plastidipped the red emblems
  • Lubed up the intermediate steering shaft (no Majofo, just no)

Up next, I may gut the cats as I get a weird noise that almost sounds like rod knock but after some research it might be loose substrate in the cat. I don't want it to be any louder though...maybe just a little
I am also contemplating upgrading the shocks as they are not expensive and at 185K, I'm sure it's due.

So far, the fact that the previous owner must have weatherized the truck and kept up on maintenance have been a real plus...I haven't hit a bolt that is too corroded yet.

maybe I should put the "V" badge on this...
