I was thinking a small school bus. Plenty to mod on it, available with a manual, bulletproof reliability, comes in his favourite colour (bright yellow), has plenty of room for the current clan, and has room to grow for when he inevitably adds three more little ones to the clan..

Nah, fool still banned. They're in the process of building a wall around his house. Can't leave, kind of like house arrest but worst.

And the ONE gripe I have with the car is the headlights being halogen bowls...
will have to do a little troubleshooting but...scored these on ebay...an oem option
I'll fux with it and then probably go with my usual CBI D3S bulbs.

Sooo...this morning I'm walking out of the building at work and one of the Union guys is like bro...what car was that you were in this morning, it's badass! I was like, uh...I think you mean another day? He's like no...it was a black wagon this morning. I was like, well shiettt...it's a Volvo. He came over to check it out and told me all the guys in the yard were noting how fucking nice it was. I was like...my milkshake still got it then?

Just wait until headlights, springs and spacers!

ordered the all weather trunk tray to match the mats yesterday...

ordered a used privacy shade for the trunk...realized what the 2 things on the back of the rear seats were for...a cargo net to keep a dog in the back

and found out the headlights pull out without bumper removal...literally 2 pins pull up and bam, out.
Volvo

From what I have seen Volvo and Subaru both have some really cool dog-friendly OE accessories.

Your liking of this car has made me think it might be an option for the girlfriends next car as well. Thankfully she doesn't want a minivan.

By the way that black and white shot is sex

Thanks Jason! They are retardedly cheaply priced for what you get and honestly, I LOVE how it drives.
I think she'll be happy with it.

Phase one a success...even got the ballast to fire up after disabling DRL feature in the car's menu...
next up is finding out if there's a program to provide the headlight harness 100% power without pulse technology,
otherwise I'll be wiring in a relay harness with capacitors to ensure I don't run into trouble. There's surprisingly VERY little
information online about this seemingly must have upgrade. I have yet to see another S/V60 with the projectors in the US in person.
Should be pretty cool to have that as the front of the car is so much nicer with them.

I think springs are up next, then spacers.

wiring is close...harness is same plug...additional 3 wires on the unit are for the autoleveling that I won't have...hopefully they are somewhat aimed well, otherwise it'll be manual adjustment.
I just want to get it so the sporadic voltage doesn't take the ballasts out and so that I don't get a bulb out warning on the dash.

J also went as far as to have the F22 engine fit in his Miata, as well as the interior, body panels, head and taillights, bumpers...

my first silver one with the oem hardtop to match, I used to call it a mini viper cause I thought it looked a lot like the old RT coupe!

Unless you get super technical into the weeds of ECU programming, I doubt there's a "setting" to just disable Pulse Width Modulation.

okay...then relay harness is where it's at...
I'm PM'ing that guy that mentioned that crazy harness on the other forum link I had sent you.
I realized how long that thread was btw...you are a saint for entertaining my questions and friendship, Johnny.
He sent me a link to a relay canbus canceler thingy but it's from Europe and looks cheap, I'm sure I can get a better quality
version of it here. I maybe just splice in and solder some shielded quick connects to make it work. He says he unscrewed the
ballast and drilled a hole in the bottom of the lights to feed the wires back into. I almost feel like I can do the same thing before it even goes into the headlight and achieve the same
success.

PWM was an issue with people swapping the OE LEDs into the 2015+ F150s as well. ForScan was the solution there, IIRC.
LEDs in the halogen bowls was my solutions for the appalling halogen OE setup.

I was just very relieved that they fired up yesterday...
I mean, technically with DRL set to off there might not be the pulses which is why they fired to begin with...if that's the case and there's no flickering,
I could be okay with it the way it is...although the swedesport dude assures me there will be some error code on the dash for bulb out at some point.

I think I could live with a bulb outage alert, if the lights are working properly.
Maybe a call to the Volvo Svc Dept to see if they can clear/reprogram, in the event you do get an error?

Winner!
If it was an OE option for USDM, I'd imagine they can at minimum clear the bulb outage, at best reprogram for full function.

well, I'm missing one key component that I won't be bothering with...the auto leveling function would require the headlight control module and harness associated...
I'm just happy with stagnant projectors...figured if it sucked, i could revert to halogen anyway. I had bought some halogen "CBI" Osram but they had the blue tint
to them...which, YUCK in a reflector bowl.

Sick.

Might I suggest gloss black vinyl wrap the lower part of the front grille, side skirts, and window surround? Would look a lot more boss that way.
