She'll be a whole new car mechanically pretty soon.
Ordered some OBX headers and a tuned ECU, as well as the C35A motor. I'll be using the Legend Type II cams and intake manifold too for the 'hybrid' swap.
Will be completed sometime in mid-February. Need it fixed before track season, will be racing the cobalt really hard this year and need my daily back up and running.

Yup. I ended up having to wait on the tuned ECU for 3 months. Ordered Jan 17th and it got here April 16th. Was almost ready to throw in the towel on this project.

Nice!
I always wanted to do the C35/Type II with the 6 speed manual. Preferably in a 1st gen TL. Lighter vehicle

I've been considering that, there should be enough room. Problem is I want to keep this thing quiet and I don't think a true dual setup would allow me to run a resonator.

Over the weekend I began my type A (black) interior swap. Started with the front door panels and sills. While I was in there, I discovered that a 5 year old must have wired the aftermarket front door speakers so I got them all cleaned up and sounding better.

That is some amazing work you've done there hockeyman! I've read through the whole thread and it is amazing how modern the car still looks after your handiwork. Love the motor swap!
