At this point I don't really believe that offering yet another FWD luxury sedan with no V8 option is doing things differently. Its just more of decades of the same thing, at least by Honda/Acura standards. Hyundai was the company that really committed itself to changing their company perception with the original Genesis sedan (a car that is still to this day a more impressive luxury car than the TLX) and make no mistake, that was a HUGE gamble for them at the time. Clearly it has paid massive dividends when you compare their brand perception in 2018 to that of 2009 when the Genesis launched.
