Razor Blade Car Protection
Was talking to some guys about thieves and cars and what not, came across the idea that some guys are strategically installing razor blades on parts of their cars that thieves generally target, so they get a nice little surprise when they go to rip of the part. Has anyone heard of this? Has anyone done this? Does it work? Also, where and how do you recommend installing the blades?
Thanks in advance, LnS |

I'd rather have my radio stolen than a stranger's blood all in my car.
|
HAHAHAHA this just made my day. Where and how would you install razor blades PLEASE enlighten us
|
That's right. Low AND Slow. Yes. I like that.
|
I so want to know too! :O

just trying to put them on the outside of the car, already have had two sets of lips stolen. you guys ever have shit jacked off your car?
|
|
Seriously though... wouldn't it be much easier (and make more sense) to just get an alarm with an adjustable shock sensor?
|
Let say I'm a thief. I try to take off your lip kit and get hurt by those little razor blades.
I would put a hole in all 4 tires and put a hammer mark on every body panel as well as windows JUST BECAUSE you try to mess with me. :O |

ive weighed that option, couple things that have steered me away. 1. im a college student on budget, a GOOD system with that option would be upwards of 300-400, i just dont have that kinda money to drop 2. in my neighborhood, there's alarms going off all the time, an alarm wont deter someone who runs up to my car, rips off the lips, and runs away. and 3. I dont want more fobs on my keyring. could i mod a OEM fob to work with an aftermarket system?

I agree with Shoofin', that's a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Save up and get an alarm system and park your car close to your window, have an eye out with a baseball bat ready .. not really much more you can do?. |

Or worst you have your car in for service and someone else gets hurt not knowing there are razor blades that are now all rusted cuts them. Not a good idea at all.

However using razor blades are you serious? :what: Stop trolling please. |
Great, another reason not to buy a used car, getting sliced when you wash it the first time.

I heard packing an IED in the dash behind the radio, with a trip wire on the volume knob works wonders!!!!!
|
responses are gold.
OP, I like your idea and I'ma let you finish, but a proper car alarm is more efficient |
I cut myself enough when doing normal car repair. I don't need to up the difficulty.
|
I did this...ended up regretting it though the last time I had to take my front bumper off because I forgot about the blades. Wiping my azz these days has proven quite challenging.
|
OP, just put a huge ass sticker on your hood and trunk.
YOU ARE BEING FILMED RIGHT NOW BITCHES |
:what:
  :whyme:
