Ok, so we basically know most of the specs about the tl. but i wanted to know if anyone has an inside source in comptech to find out if they are making any products for the car shortly after the tl comes out. I might be ahead of myself, but i have my tl on order and was wondering if there would be any performance mods. plus does anyone know a finally price yet?

 

As it stands right now nobody knows what if anything CT plans for this car .The new TL has close coupled catalysts so headers would be very difficult .I imagine in short order springs will appear along with the obligatory CAI and sway bars .Brake upgrades might appear but since there is a stock version available with Brembo brakes this too may be questionable .

contact comptech....they may go as far as giving ou a timeline on what may be available 4 this car and when


good points jens...altho we will probably see a rear brake upgrade and probably upgraded rotors upfront available

I have got to know if the trans is the same as on a 2001 also is there a trans cooler on the 2004 (Auto version)

 

not to mention it will have a better intake system in the first place.
something about the 270 looks fishy. the compression was raised to 11 from 10.5, they claim other little tweaks and all they gained was 10 horses?
i think intake will be once again very helpful on the 04 tl, but headers will not be an easy task as Jens said. comptech will probably charge more for parts this time since this engine seems to be more anti-mod.

 

yeah i know i think the hp is under rated. i would like to have 300 hp if possible, they why i posted this just to see if someone knew something i didn't.
