Question about car insurance coverage
Something I've been curious about and heard different opinions of.... so my name is under my car, as is my dad's, then my name is also under the house beater (my first car). Once in a while I drive the TL though, and while it is under the same policy in our house, my name isn't under it. Will I be covered, just in case? What if somebody who's covered under the car is in the car with me?
also hypothetically if I were letting people test drive my car, if someone is driving my car, and his driver's license is valid, but he wrecks my car, will my insurance cover it? Will it make a difference if I'm in the car or not?
I get worried about loaning my car to friends and for that time when I'm gonna sell it and let people test drive it.... leaves me worried.

One on the right for me
You need to read your policy language. That will tell you what is covered and what limitations the insurance company has placed on you.

On a side note, if I were you I wouldn't let friends drive your car. Offer them a ride if they need it but you go where your car goes. It will save you from headaches and awkward situations down the road.

I'm insured with GEICO so let me tell you what I read and they told me:
It's ok for you to "lend" someone your car and they will be covered as long as they have a valid license etc.
But this may NOT be on a "regular basis"
For example, they asked me about other members in my family
1. Is "so and so" in your household?
2. Does "so and so" have their own car insurance?"
3. If not, do you lend them your vehicle on a regular basis?
So basically, what I get out of that is that, its ok for you to lend you car to friends/family once in a while, just don't make a habit out of it. I'm sure they will cover 1-2 claims with your non-covered friends/family behind the wheel...but anymore than that and you're just begging them to drop you.
But to be sure, I would simply ask your insurance agent, they should be more than glad to answer your questions.
