I have been a member of this forum for a little while now and have noticed something odd. I noticed people getting deals near invoice for RDX, TL type-s, and RL. What is going on? Is Acura having that much trouble selling their cars? Acura's are great cars and definately up there among luxary brands. I personally think that they have the best technologies in their cars. Dont get me wrong, when I buy a car, I want a good deal. But if everybody is getting a good deal, then it will hurt the resale value.

Not everyone gets a good deal, but I think most of our members here are more internet savy then the average buyer, so they are more likely to haggle to a near invoice price then the average buyer (who may not even know what the invoice price is).

Check out edmunds TMV (or what others are paying) to see what the buying pubic as a whole is paying...

IIRC I got my CL for 400-500 over invoice... But I was a member here a couple months before I bought, so I was what I would call an "educated buyer".

At the time Edmunds said my car would be worth 52% of it's original value after 5 years... It's been 4 1/2 years now, and the CL has been discontinued, and the resale value is about 50%. The TL and TSX have an even better value retention (sedans usually do have it better over coupes).

I dont think the general public knows how to even find "invoice pricing". I would bet most just work down from sticker price when walking into a dealer.

Not really sure why but some Acuras can even be had for under invoice.

Mom bought a TSX for $282 UNDER invoice two weeks ago. While i was there i asked the internet sales manager about the TL-S and he said hes selling them at invoice. And we all know how the RL pricing is.

RDX is just a flop.
