funny this is coming up... last night my buddy calls me... he was like do you still want your vette? i feel guilty if i didn't at least offer it to you... i'm like why?
he tells me his father's best friend is getting rid of his '93... it's a triple black targa 6MT... his father wanted a full convertible auto... he said turn the MR2 into a daily... and replace the toy with a clean C4... possibly with a future LS swap... i'll put up some pictures to dilute the cuckness...

okay, my miniscule update:
the basics...air filter
new ecs tuning brake booster hos (es) ...great quality
my makeshit repair and another possible source of vacuum leak
brittle and known to break, I must have leaned on it or something while maneuvering other things and broke off the smallest nipple, Greg
car currently spews coolant when it reaches operating temp so project round and brown is down for a bit until it arrives.
replaced the high pressure fuel pump o-ring...and more importantly the cap that sits on the end that rides the cam and builds fuel pressure...should be done every 20K...mine probably was never done at 185K. Could cause catastrophic failure, odd fuel pressure etc...might have been my funky idle until I was higher in RPM.
right is what it should look like, left shows the cap worn through
fuel pump end worn down
new coil packs...audi r8 red bosch...cheap compared to Acura! $80 a set
plugs had certainly been a while...but was happy to report no oil in the chambers or on tips...just corrosion
That's it for now.
A big plus about this German car...is that part numbers seem to be either stamped on hoses, imprinted on the part themselves...no need to read diagrams and go digging.
So far, it's made it pretty easy to replace what seems to be breaking.
Also, not pictured was my replacing of the pcv and associated hoses with the aftermarket one from amazon...for what it does, I think it'll be fine. If anything I can always go back and order OEM for that too.

Man ... Audi and their brittle plastic coolant bits.
I've broken several of them already, and vacuum lines.

that baby only getting premium now...
it calls for it!
Yeah, I'm still doing okay as long as nothing major goes wrong...even after registration, taxes and insurance...I realize that's just the cost of transportation no matter what.
Okay, maybe not X3 for one guy...
