LOL...looked on my phone...
yeah, that does look damn good but the steam did the same thing!
I fixed up little J's headliner too from a coffee incident years ago. She hated how it looked.
Took me about 10 minutes to steam it out.

I used some filler on the deep gouges.. I guess I could have used some thinner to blend but coloring the spots worked out better.
If I would have done it again.. I would have just gone over the whole thing.

Okay so...
small victories and also the interior cleaned up.
Yes, the leather is rough, but let's face it...it's a beater. I'm a beater. We're a match made in heaven.
Also, after driving the Vagon all weekend...I was happy to jump back in my nimble and light POS.
Although, doing some sick fishtales in the rain with a kayak on top and 2 bikes out back while my girlfriend tells me how much she loves how I drive wasn't so bad either
Anyway...got the seat back brackets glued and back in...not 100% but passable...and installed the new high mount brake light...it works! and looks good.
installed Recaro's on this one

But the driver's seat has that beautiful patina crotch stain. You can't get rid of that.

J.. it sounds more and more that you don't like the V.
Sell it while you can still make some coin off it.
We'll still be bros.

No sir, not gonna lie...it's the payment/gas that are weighing heavily on me.
I'm not in the same financial position I used to be in to comfortably afford it and live life.
Things will be less strained if big and little J end up cohabitating, which seems like it's headed there.
I'm juggling paying it down to make the payment reasonable...the gas isn't great, but I could deal if it wasn't a daily.
Again, at what point do I cut the cord for the sake of it looking and sounding cool and doing very fast things?
I'm just trying to talk myself out of it...I love the car.

I think it is the perfect dad mobile for you for weekends and road trips. I hope to see you keep it. Seems like the Audi might have been a wise choice to take daily abuse back and forth to work.

Turn J's into a dirty slut.. swamp crotch the seats.. race everything and anything.
Police just mad cuz they lost..

I just want everything.
well, the Audi beater gave me an option to drive to get to work on days when I have Z and gets me good gas mileage so I can't even hate on that!
yeah, I think you're right...it took some getting used to, that's for sure. The V is great in so many categories but does lack in a few too.
It is heavy and you feel it...it is terrible on gas, we all knew that...but it didn't matter when I had a 10 mile daily commute. Now that it's more like 50...
Anyway...yeah, I used to talk shit about the TL too...then I didn't have it and I missed it and wished I hadn't sold it.
Maybe I'm channeling some of my emotions into my car hobby? I found it kinda refreshing to have a car I didn't care much about that was reasonable...I get joy in that...and piecing it back together to make it drive nicely.
Temp gauge started working again too...
I guess that's the trick with German? Wait it out...everything breaks and eventually fixes itself?

Honestly.. the s2k or the V.
s2k is the most impractical ownership.. but if it gives you the most joy.. well.
You have an Audi beater that can haul things, particularly Z, which you depended on the V for.
It's like sell the s2k and lose your soul
or sell the V and lose beast + practicality
or sell the Audi for more than you put in
I feel you on car payment and gas. I probably put 300 / mo on gas alone.
Shit.. feels good to be a gangster tho..
