Rockstar will tell you to just find the local highway offramp or random grassy field.

best place is to find a newly built highway or overpass, you can usually duck onto the newly paved area and take some sick shots before anyone even notices.

You've found some good looking off road spots but nothing extreme, I guess.

You need a disco ball to go with that headliner.

Aren't you supposed to drive to see the stars off the grid with your overland vehicle not build the stars inside of it

You funny fuckers. In other news, the Rockstar inspired me to do some math on how much I've spent on fixing this thing up and I've doubled the purchase price, oooof.

I see a lot of overland Cayennes being posted in the 15-20k range - now .. do they sell for that much?

If they do, you can break even and tell the wifey how you made a lot of money on the sale .

Made it off the road but the road is close 😂

Added a receiver.

Wrapped the trim army green and swapped out the glitchy Android Unit I put in, for a cleaner one with wireless car play. Trim may go back to silver but for now I’ll enjoy the change.

You're missing the "D".
You need that "D".

Brakes were the last thing that looked faded and old so I cleaned, scuffed, painted, and cleared with some new decals

Dude, that looks soooo good.

So jealous of how your Cayenne is turning out.

I need to do that so bad on mine - the brakes don't even have logos on them anymore.

The clear runs so easily on those complex curves. Most important part is that first tack coat and then less is more.
But either way you'll never notice it once on the car. It looks great!

Looks like fun.
Wish we had stuff like that around Houston. It's all just 'gettin muddy' around here with the rednecks.

That still looks like a lot of fun.

Time for a road trip out west for some real off road fun!

These pics really make me miss my Jeep a whole lot. Never had so much fun going 2mph.

Yeah, but yours looks like more water fording & less 'how much mud can I cake on my truck?'
Had an absolute blast in Scottsdale a few years ago, took a SxS tour through the desert with a corporate group. Crazy dusty, but it was so much fun. I'd definitely have a Jeep and.or a nice SxS if I lived where that was available.
Similar at my mom's place north of Vegas. 35 miles of desert & trails out her back door.

Gotcha. This was a good mix of water, mud, and trails but it is starting to get a bit too wet for us.

Yeah, some of those looked pretty deep
Most off-road I get is the couple times a year I go down to our property for deer season, but it's a 6 hour drive down there. All gravel & dirt roads, tons of mesquite.
We keep a couple trucks down there to keep the mesquite racing stripes off our cars.

Geez that discovery had some serious angle when he slipped into that rut.

In my Jeep days I went a few times in north ga / Tennessee at Rich Mountain and Tellico. I was always surprised how many folks from Florida I would see there, but living here, I know why, it’s all flat and sand.

Thanks for sharing the pics and clips! Looks awesome!

Yeah, he is a super experienced guy and did an amazing job organizing this trip, by far the best ive been on. He tested everything and was trying to bypass but almost ate it, a bit scary.

I want to do GA or TN but the drive there doesn’t seem that fun.

Since one time when I went up there we met up with the Florida group as they passed through Atlanta up to the trails and it was pretty cool to go as a convoy, we all had CB radios, so time passed pretty quickly.

you would be a lot more comfortable for that drive than the lifted wrangler folks lol!
