Both cars are looking good man. I actually think your license plate frames are cooler than the plates themselves! Haha

Thanks! I love plateframes, but the plates are actually a personal reference to my medical history, so naturally I'm a fan.

Finally warm out, which means it's time for my fastest vehicle to come out of hibernation.

My 08 Honda Aquatrax R-12X. Turbo 4-stroke making 165hp on 14lbs of boost. I adore it. It's so much fun.

Obligatory car pics.

With my friends Ram.

Seeing red.

Turbo? Wow.

More horsepower than a 2.0L ILX.

Fastest I've gotten was 70, but that was real early one morning so the water was glassy smooth and I only had about an 1/8th tank in it. But on normal days with plenty of gas and fairly choppy water it'll still do 60-65 no problem. It's the acceleration that's crazy. 0-60 on it with fairly choppy water is usually less than 5 seconds. If it's fairly smooth I judge around 3.5-4. I've heard that if you get a chip and new impeller it will do 60 in less than 3 seconds.

When they made them it was the only one that was turbo, all the rest were supercharged. Still one of the faster skis you can get, they're just hard to find for a good price since Honda no longer makes them.

Thanks mang. It's over at Drake's Creek Marina on Old Hickory. Wish the weather would clear up so I could go out.

Well, the time has come for me to part ways with the Merc. I just can't afford it anymore. Between the payment and its awful MPGs it's not worth it to me. I really do not want to sell it as I love it but I have to do what I have to do right now.

I average 21 usually. But considering my drive is now 25 miles one way to work (I moved to Brentwood btw) I'm not impressed with the highway mileage. It's getting filled up every 5 days or so and $40-45 a fill up every 5-7 days is killing me. Add that to my payment and insurance and it's taking it's toll on my "do more stuff to the CL fund." On long drives I'm lucky to get 400 out of a tank. I could get almost 500 in the FX. Commuting I'm looking at 250 miles/tank and that's almost entirely highway, avoiding the shit traffic too. Cruise all the way.

I would think even an ILX with that turbomotor will give 2.4 TLX a good run too.

You moved to Snootywood, err, I mean Brentwood? What you go and do that for?

As far as the MPG, yeah, that's gotta take a toll. If I had to commute I would likely be looking for a different car myself.

Didn't have much of a choice. It was that or pay the $900+/month for a one bed apartment since nothing one bed is cheap.

What? Never heard of that. I mean I had just googled "one bedroom apts" and city names and everything was 700-800 for a decent one, and not in the worlds greatest neighborhoods.

Yeah nice ones in a good area are around that here as well.

Not really sure yet. Probably be later this year, save up a bit. Back to driving the CL on the daily. Really miss driving it anyway.

Well, got the wheels off, stock ones back on (after a brief discovery that the OEM wheels were staggered ), OEM grille back in, spoilers and diffuser off. Really makes me sad to see her like this again

Looks funny without a diffuser.

Thanks again to SuperTrooper for helping me out and allowing me to use his garage!
