Private Sale Tax, Title and License
Never bought a private sale used car before. How does it work?
I understand it may vary some from state-to-state, but "in general" is fine.

You just find buyer or seller you can trust w right auto.
In Texas - you agree on price, make a bill of sale (include terms and conditions of both parties), and fill out
the sales tax ownership form. The purchaser takes this form
to his local DMV and pays sale tax to them. The DMV
then registers the auto in his name and withdraws the orig owner
as owner. You might also have inspections, warrany, car fax.
