Within the next 6 months or so. Does it make a difference? It's a new rim so it shouldn't be discontinued...

Have you checked to make sure a 45mm offset is okay? I don't know so I'm not suggesting anything.

Nice looking wheels though. Looking forward to seeing your car whenever you get it.

A4 avants are sick. I love that car. One day when I have kids thats the car I will try to get or even a6 avant. And those wheels will look really really good on the car. Try looking for some BBS reps, those wheels always look good on audi/VW

Awesome, what did you go with in terms of color, options, etc?

So when we meeting up so we can do a full comparo? (in the other thread you through I was talkign about comparing with the Q5, but I was referring to the fact if you got an B8 based A4 avant).

based on the info about what color you're getting i'll do some searching for some wheels for ya if you want?

What's your budget?

Some quick research and I found this one that I like A LOT:

SOOOOO many guys have those rims on their base A4's I'd go with something different

Also, can the B8 except wider wheels without rubbing issues or are the required offsets for the front/rear the same as the B7? If you can put some wider wheels, that's what I would do, esp if you want to put on some wheels with a nice lip.

SIDE NOTE: Velocity Motoring is the company that I bought my boost gauge from. They were nice enough to install for me for free too:

I'd rather have the P40 replicas they make. VMR710s. Not quite as played out.

That said, I'd probably ball on the Stasis wheels I posted the other day. About the same price.

Yeah, it makes a difference...

Some people just think it's bizarre to buy mods for something you don't own yet... well, everyone except people like

A lot can happen in 6 months... Did you place the order yet ??

I didn't buy it yet!

The wife wants to buy a car and the kids are getting bigger, I should be ready to make an offer this month maybe.

I know it sounds silly to shop for wheels for a car that you don't have but I'm 90% sure I'm getting the car and I want the wheels on it from the start. When I bought my TSX I had the car picked 6 months before I made an offer and I also had the wheels picked 6 months before. Then they freakin' discontinued the wheels on me! Hopefully this won't happen again, these are brand new.

So anyway I had to pick another set of wheels and I had them in posession before I took delivery of the TSX. I actually had one wheel on display in the bedroom for a week, my wife thought I was nuts!

So I may be early, but I'm serious. Just doing my homework.

Sly Raskal, that BBS wheels is awesome, I'd take it but it's 3 times the cost of the ASA and that's WAY out of my budget.

Exactly... I'd get the RS4 wheel, I love 5 double-spoke. I have the Ron Jon Inspyre right now on the TSX. But the RS4 wheel is way too expensive so I'm going for an approximation.

Where can I find those replicas for sale? I'm not worried about lots of people having those, I'm pretty sure it'll be the only car like that in town.

By the way, I'm trying to figure out what to offer... Another poster told me they got a $3000 discount off an A4, in Toronto. I'd be happy to get that for the Avant.

It's actually the VMR V708, you can buy it off their website, (velocitymotoring.com) or check out the FS sections on the various Audi forums. And you will be the only Avant with RS4 wheels in town for sure, if you see a crazy dude honking and waving at you, it'll be me.

The way you made it sound I had thought you put the order in already Well either way, I'm wishing you the best of luck in you getting what you want!

I waited a little under a year and a half if I recall from when I started researching till when we finally decided, and then it was another 4 month wait for the car to arrive. I started planning out what I would potentially do with the car as well because that was also a factor in deciding what to get. Immediately after we took delivery I started pulling the trigger and ordered a few simple mods off my list I created from when I did my research.

Do they still offer the titanium package on the B8? If so, i'd seriously consider that. Depending on what color Avant you get, it'll set your car apart from others, and if you like the stock wheels, which are different with the titanium package, you may not even need to buy different wheels.

Yea, BBS wheels are always expensive. Just throwing some ideas your way. if you do have so much time to wait, why not simply start putting aside the amount you would spend on the VMR rs4 replicas, and from now to when you get the car, put an extra amount every month into that pot and build up so that right when you buy the car you buy the wheels. Just a thought as to how I would do it. This way you may be able to get the BBS wheels.

You can get the replica's directly from VMR, just call or email. Or if you want, you should join audizine.com. VMR is one of the many vendors on that board and they offer deals on their wheels from time to time to board members.

Here's a list of sites you should look at for parts for your [hopeful] new car to help give you an idea of what you may or may not want to buy:

oempl.us
velocitymotoring.com
ecstuning.com
http://www.stasisengineering.com/
http://www.goapr.com/
http://www.awe-tuning.com/
http://www.giacusa.com/

Good luck on ordering your car dude!

Awesome find, can you recommend a good wheel/tire place that carries them? I've only shopped at Tire Rack and 1010 Tires before.

You can order the wheels and also get tires mounted on them directly from velocity motoring.

Will they match TireRack prices though, and do they carry Khumo? I'm cheap when it comes to tires too

I think the V708 is my new pick...

What are you guys driving now by the way?

Oh yeah, the other thing is I'm not getting the sport package, so the ride will be a little higher than here:

It's not going to look 4x4ish, is it? Did anyone track down some picks of a 2009 Avant with 19" wheels with stock non-sport suspension?

^Yep, that looks like stock suspension. Looks very good with a mild tint.

Sly Raskal drives an white S-line A4 Avant as well, and I sold the M5 a few days ago and I'm sorely tempted to get another Audi.

That appears that it may have the s-line kit by the s-line badge on the side of the car.

If you're trying to save money:

1) join audizine
2) contact VMR through the forum channels to try and illicit a discount for forum members if they have any.

OR

I could try and contact the guy that helped me with the boost gauge install and see if there's anything he can do for you?

Let me know what path you wanna take.

As for tires, I'm pretty sure they have a wide variety of tires you can choose from. And FYI, VMR wheels aren't very expensive from what I've seen in the past on the audi boards:

One example:

http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...&highlight=vmr

And a search of VMR sales for many of their products:

I found the article that the blue A4 Avant was pulled from:

http://www.audiworld.com/news/08/a4-avant-roadtest/

What is Audi of America's plan for the next generation A4 Avant?
Like the A4 sedan, the Avant will go on sale in the fall in the US. Unlike the sedan, Audi will enforce model simplification by only offering the Avant with the new 2.0T powerplant, quattro all-wheel drive and a 6-speed fast shifting automatic transmission. Audi says it's done its homework and it knows what the typical Avant buyer doesn't want or need in the variant, and a heavier, less fuel efficient V6 engine is near the top of that list. For our part we agree with AoA's assessment. With only around 4,000 Avants sold each year in the US it makes no sense to confuse dealers and consumers with a multitude of choices.
That made me VERY happy for pulling the trigger last year otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get a manual. Many told me to wait and get the new model, now I'm very glad I didn't listen to them.

Thanks again dude for the kind in regards to my Avant.

In case you haven't seen them, here's the thread with some pics towards the end of the thread of my Avant:
