Picked up a SUV...
Whats up guys... 2 years ago I leased a GS350 F-Sport and I've been in love with it since. A little too in love actually, as of 11/1/2017 I was about 1,900 miles (and counting) over on the lease. With it ending in April I knew I had to do something or be out of a lot of money come turn in time. I originally was shopping or an old beater to just bridge to gap and get my miles down. I went to a few auctions and either the cars were junk or people were bidding like fools. I refused to overpay for a car I knew nothing about. My goal was to find an 05-06 Yukon Denali with low miles and in food condition. There are some out there but they weren't in my 5k budget. So then I started thinking if I found a newer body style (but early model) Tahoe/Yukon, I could swing the payment until I got out the Lexus in April. My first day out I hit the lottery, well at least I think I did. I found an 07 Chevy Tahoe Z71, one owner, fully loaded with 112k miles. It was in immaculate condition for an 07, it had some scratches but nothing too excessive. The interior was spotless, the seats weren't busted open and they weren't cracked/creased up too bad. Its basically fully loaded minus a sunroof and motorized rear lift gate, neither was a deal breaker. The dealer was originally asking 14,500, I got them down to 13,500 OTD. It was from a Chevy dealer, bought and maintained there, they had full service records and even repaired a couple items they found on inspection (damaged front axle, squeaky serpentine belt, cracked air filter and blown bulbs). I purchased the Tahoe in November and I'm completely under miles and now have my vehicle for the foreseeable future... the win win. My goal is to save some money and next Summer be able to buy a fun car, something RWD and some power, preferably something American! Being that I'm in the Northeast I definitely needed something to take care of the Winters .
Here's some pics from the first day I went to see it. There's a few upgrades I want to do like upgrade the stereo and change the wheels. Other than that she's perfect for me. Oh yeah, I almost forgot the one negative. They sold me this truck with an open recall but they are working with me to fix that issue, so it is what it is.

It wasn't a cost cutting move. My goal was to get a reliable do it all truck. Which then allows me flexibility for my fun car. I now don't have factor Philly winter's into my next purchase. And honestly I probably was spending more on premium gas for the AWD Lexus anyway lol, the Tahoe takes 87.
