Picked up a new toy last week...
After my M45 was sold in February, I was feeling a little empty. I had invested most of the money that I got for the M45 and had some walk-around-money left, so decided on a whim to pick up a new toy...
'08 Yamaha R6, with 7400mi on it. Came with a matching Yamaha jacket, but it's too hot so I ordered a yellow mesh one. Also has fender eliminator (ie license plate holder) 'cuz the OEM is clunky and huge, and GYTR carbon fiber exhaust (loud as hell, nice gurgly sound when off throttle).
I figured I'll get a M3 or some fun car 3 years from now once I'm done with my MBA, but this should hold me over 'til then unless it kills me.

Thanks, guys.
I had a '92 Yamaha Seca II when doing my undergrad and ended up crashing (guy pulled out in front of me)...but I was cocky back then and rode around in shorts and a t-shirt.
Now I have all the gear and won't ride without it. I think it has something to do with pain hurting more as you get older.

yeah, i've been taking it easy and not being cocky. I guess that came with age. Redline's at 16.5k, but I have yet to take it over 7k rpm. Haven't tried highways yet either, but since it "cruises" at 60mph at 6k rpm in 6th gear, I'm sure I'll be pushing 7k on highways.
