Picked up a Mazda "beater"...
Well, technically not a "beater." I had my eye on one of these as a good buy for a sporty multi-purpose vehicle for everyday chores. Did my usual trick that works well, go in right before the dealer closes, ready to pay in full that night. Found this 2009 Mazda 5 Sport at a local Honda dealer. 1 owner trade with a clean carfax and 32K miles. Haggled the price for an hour or so and came away with a great deal right before they closed. Also added an additional extended 5 yr bumper-bumper warranty on the factory coverage. Fully transferable, so should be a big plus if I go to sell it in the future. Should hold it's value pretty well.
Very impressed with the ease of the folding seats, the storage galore, and the fact it drives like a much smaller/sporty car. Couple of iPhone pics....

Welcome to Team Mazda. ATX or MTX? If I ever had to get a van, this is the only one I'd consider.
There's a local white one, 2009?, with gunmetal wheels, a slight drop, and some sort of lip-kit and it looks great....for a van. Enjoy the new whip.
