Picked up a 07 civic si for $800

So I guess selling my accord to my brother pays off after all, long story short my other (lil) brother crashed his SI into a guy who ate a stop sign insurnace giving him 7k for the car and he was going to let them keep the car I told him to let me get the car and I would give him extra money plus what ever is taken out the 7k. they only taking 800 bucks out the check and the title to the car is staying clean no air bags deployed or nothing reported. Thats what I was told as far as that for the title.

Here are the pictures, what do you think I would be needing to replace and the price I am looking at?

Other than that he just put new rims on with tires, new coil overs , and had a new front on it a couple days before the incident. I plan to throw him a little extra 500 after a week or two. Hes getting a 2017 wrx now lucky kid young to only 18 now of course hes using daddy's credit lol but ill be there to repo it jk

here are some pictures of before and after.

I'm going out on a limb here, but that front bumper might need to be replaced.

Already totaled (at least) 1 car. How many other accidents on his record?
Getting a new WRX

Insurance is going to be expensive.

Buy him a dash cam so he can record the next accident and post it up like this guy

Didn't someone get an estimate to determine if the car was a total loss?

The details on that would be a good place to start.

My personal opinion is you wasted $800, but it'd be interesting to see you prove me wrong.

I think you got a steal for $800. I would fix it up for sure, fixed cars a lot worse than that without any issues whatsoever.

I mean for $800... what is the worst that can happen?
If it does not work out, you can part it out and make some $$ in the process.

If you're looking for parts you could check out the 8thCivic forum here: 8thCivic.com - 8th Generation Honda Civic Forum

I'd post up a similar thread and see what's floating around for parts!

Good luck with the project, I'd love to see how it turns out!

Replace the car. Cost: Anywhere between a few hundred and $2 million

$800 is a steal. You can sell the motor for more than that if you end up not being able to fix it. Even as a part out car I would absolutely had bought that for $800 if I had the chance.

you could fix the car, strip the interior and sell off the parts, and make your money back, and you have a fun light car you can mess around with. I wanna buy something that cheap, but where I live, civic with 300000km is 7 grand FFS
