while we are on topic, check out a friends - along with a - somewhat - matching bonus vehicle - I do like the G-Wagons, too.... favorite of course would be the G65.

G65
Can't imagine what the running costs are like on that though.
I'd even be content with a G500. The G55 was the first one I really wanted.

caught this scene on the way to work this morning... danggggg... looks like those 707hp got a little flexing.

I don’t think that’s a 707, those have big vents in the cheeks and the lower part of the nose n stuff is carbon fiber. Because every ounce counts on your nearly 5000lbs sporty monstrosity.
it’s definitely a prettier color than the one I posted.
I wonder what she got pulled over for…

oh oops, I thought all of them had 707 hp. Lol kinda rusty on my stats.

Hmmmm. now the Purosangue.... I think would be built better and run better.

Problem was, the guy knew exactly what it was worth, so no real chance to scoop it up & experience it & offload later for a profit. Plus it was black, and that's a hard no for me.
He traded it in for a GLE350

Understand I was only talking about the G65. I think the other models are gonna be good! I mean not craazy unreasonably wild to maintain.

Yeah, the S/C G55 will always be my #1
G500/550 probably the most practical & probably among the more rare. I'd guess the G has a more AMG sold to 'normal' than any other MB model.

I have never been in a G wagon, but I’m sure the ride isn’t great compared to other grocery getters. Similar to how the old defender 90s (just not as bad).
If I had it my way, I’d have a G wagon when it still had a solid front axle, not the current IFS version. I want the body on frame shudder and everything that comes with it being hardcore off-roader, even if that sacrificed road manners. The 911 Carrera, S, GTS, turbo, is a lot better on the road and everyday car than a GT variant, but I’d prefer a GT. Maybe I just like abuse, don’t kink shame me.

“offered” as, you had the honor and privilege to pay full market price for one?

Owner of the company my wife works for is based in ID. Keeps a car here when for when he comes to the Houston office [usually to escape Boise winter]
He had a black early G500 [W463]. Can't remember the year, but was pretty basic [for a G-Wagen].
He got $40k or something crazy on trade in. More than I wanted o spend on an old expensive Merc.
Edit: It was an 06 & he wanted $58k in Dec 22, which was about right.
Black/gray, low miles & immaculate.
Couldn't justify it.

Some more from Cars and Cappuccino
After owning an S4, Audi is at the top of my list of cars to buy. And this RS5 Competition...I need it. Female owned. She plans to tune it and add intake and exhaust. Her husband also owns an Audi RSQ8 that's lowered and they plan to do more to it.

Yeah, that markup is a b*tch.
Although, I feel like this *could* be a nicely appreciating investment? It's a rare breed, and quite special.

Wow... I'll take an RS6 Avant and a used SRT 392 for that money.

Demons have gone for big money the whole time. Super rare and super special. They're not likely to ever go down in price either.

I don’t know if any of these had huge adm when selling new.
Ex-OEM King
I think they were right around $100k new.
I don't know if they had huge ADM but guessing many got sold with some level of it, no way around that.
Prices are all over the place with most cars like this but who knows what the background of these cars is without a closer look.

Dodge did really try to curb ADM on them, by restricting allocations to the worst ADM offending dealers & giving extra to those selling at MSRP.
