I think the M4 is 1000x better looking than the e92

looks wise yes.
but the exhaust sound...the V8 with or without aftermarket exhaust is just 1000x better than the F8X.
under WOT, the F8X sounds good.. don't most cars? but at low speed, the exhaust just sounds... broken... and + the DCT shifting sound..just weird all around.

no sound pumping stereo exhaust will replace that V8

At lower RPMs I almost think my car sounds better...

Akrapovic exhaust helps for sure

Later the M4 owner was leaving and as he was pulling around the front he stopped to show the car to someone he knew, and he revved it up a little bit too. It sounded like it belongs on the track for sure, but I agree that there was nothing like that V8 sound. The TTI6 doesn't sound as masculine, but it's still a beast and has the numbers to back it up.

Shot 2 E30s yesterday, one with 4500 miles on it and one with 12k miles that belonged to Paul Walker. I'll post the fun pics when they are completed...here are some inventory shots of the 4500 mile car.

Well, damn.
You gotta be kidding me.
Most everyone in here agree the E92 looks way better than the ISF, AUDI S5, AND BENZ C64, AND THOSE are all handsome cars in their own rights.
the m4 looks nice, but seems to be lacking somewhere (obviously not on the performance side though.)
anyone else agree? e92 will go down as a timeless design much like the e46.

Not a big fan of the E30 M3 but a similar one with about 12,000 miles is going for $43,000 (with 65 ppl watching on ebay).....effing ridiculous. How are people valuing that more than a 91' NSX that has little more miles than that? NSX all day if i were looking into classic sports car.

That being said, I've driven most of what I've shot. If I feel comfortable and I'm with the owner, I'll let it rip....but usually, just load my gear in and be very careful.
Some notes:
Best drive - 2013 GT3.
PDK + 475 N/A power is sex. Porsche writes the book on build quality and fit and finish. There is no better. 2 years ago, when I first started shooting, I didn't care for P cars, now they are the only thing I want!
Worst drive - Roush Ford Raptor.
Don't know why anyone buys these. Just felt like a clunky pick up that was wider and harder to drive than a normal one. It had those awful light bars on it and at 40mph you'd swear tornado sirens were going off by the awful screech made by them.
Most Uncomfortable - TT Gallardo with Race Buckets
Race buckets are carbon backed and don't flex. Add way to much power, touchy pedals and zero visibility and there you go.
Biggest - Peterbuilt 18-wheeler Tow Truck.
Air brakes, lots of cameras and flashy lights. I felt like I fulfilled at least one childhood dream. Surprisingly easy to drive as well.
Roughest - Stanced BRZ
Smoothest - Continental GT SS
When hitting freeway gaps, the front wheel would hit the bump and by the time the rear would hit, it had already compensated for it and there was a lack of jolt. You could feel it correct itself and you never get used to it. It's like driving a very fast cloud...oddly enough, fantastic on the twisties too.
Most Memorable - 550m
Took it easy, just drove it like I would a normal car. The gated shifter is a lost art. The sound it makes, the satisfaction of rowing the gears...all so good. Plus the sound, power, looks, etc. Fantastic car.
WTF Moment - P1
The process in which one activates/deactivates 'race mode' is almost funny. From the countdown on the dash, to the random button codes and dial positions. At least a 5 step process which is completely unnecessary. This plus I don't fit well and had to strategically plan my entrance and strip myself of dignity getting out.
Most Surpising - Tuned '15 E63 Wagon
I knew it was fast, but not that fast. First time I experienced nausea from repeated digs. Mind blowing torque.

My work took me to Australia this week (first time ever visiting this country) and I managed to get away on Thursday to look around Melbourne on a hop-on-hop-off tour bus.
Saw these utes everywhere (Holden and Ford):
Then I saw how BMW does its dealership in Melbourne...
Then I saw a combined Aston Martin, McLaren, Rolls-Royce dealership and had to get off the damn bus to check it out...
By the way, the Aston/McLaren/Rolls dealership sits at the base of this building...
In which you can go to the 88th floor and see views like this...
