Since I will be mounting stuff to the rails and the bronze would be somewhat covered I decided to just do satin black for the rails and the covers so everything matches. Should look pretty sharp still without the confusing 2 tone
Satin black would've been my #2 choice, since we're spending someone else's money. Not being a big risk taker, I'd likely have gone satin black as #1 on my own vehicle
Seeing as he has an extra set of rails now I wouldn't be surprised to see him test out the bronze though after the black is done. I mean you don't want people thinking it came from the dealer like that
Another small update, since I'm an LED whore. I picked up a set of LED panels made for the rear hatch lights. Probably over kill since the LED bulbs I had in there were plenty bright. This is a pic of the old bulbs at the Slayer concert a couple weeks back
But you know I can't just leave things alone, here's a little comparison shot of the old vs the new
And the new panel all installed
The new one really fills out the light and uses all available space
I did a side by side shot at night, this is just the single old LED bulb on the driver's side
And this is the new LED panel on the right, it's blindingly bright. I had sun spots for 15-20 mins after I took this lol. But you can see just how powerful they are with just one replaced
Damn man you are never going to be able to use those at concerts they are so bright. People are going to tell you to turn them off as you are blinding them.
That said those are really cool that they are made to fit perfectly like that.
So much better not having that off white color. That should just about complete your lighting.
Only thing that would make it more complete is if someone could 3d print you a trim ring for the lower grill so you could cut an opening in the lower grill for the light bar.
Thinking about getting different LED bar brackets and adding a second LED bar to help fill in the area behind the grille, like this. Just feel like it's overkill. No I'm not cutting my grille
Any cooling issues with the, assumed, reduced airflow?
I remember delivering a vehicle when I was working for the local Chevrolet dealer in college. A lifted 5cyl Colorado with huge externally mounted driving lights, coolant temps climbed going over every overpass. But, that was also back in 2009.
I like the look of the double but yeah I would be concerned about possibly cooling issues and also could affect air flow over your ac cooling tube and thus make your AC less efficent.

I've not heard of any. It's not something I'm looking to do in the immediate future. Honestly I like the look I have now with the one centered. Just something I've been kicking around....
Small little update, the pups have a heck of a time jumping up to the rear seat, and with my older one pushing 12 years old and starting to show signs of arthritis, I've been looking into alternatives for them to get up and down from the truck, especially after swapping out the running boards for steps. So I found a solution, I ended up getting an open box which saved me about 40 bucks on this, so I was excited to put it all together.
Assembly wasn't too complicated, however I did notice a small problem (probably why it was an open box lol) the one red pin for the upper step wouldn't lock into the hole, the drilled hole was a bit too small. So I broke out the drill and widened the hole until it snapped into place. Victory!
Even though it was 90some degrees outside I had to do a test fit and see how it looks. It folds up when not in use which should come in handy when we take the dogs on a road trip. I also wanted to see if the lift gate would still clear the steps, and it does!
I'm still debating if I should raise the height up, but I will have to do some trial runs with the pups. I really think it won't be an issue and if I raise it anymore the tail gate won't open, so I think I'll leave the height as it is.
Excuse my finger, this was the only side pic I took. My one dog is almost 12 and the other one is 105 lbs so I figured the steps would be a nice easy way for them to get up and down.
Since I had the truck out in the street, and had just washed it I had to snap some pics. Hadn't snapped any side shots with the new steps and amber deletes. She lookin sexy

Damn that step is huge but I am sure the pups appreciate it.
You have to have those roof bars back from the coater by now. They will really finish the look off well since those silver ones stand out like a sore thumb now.
